Jon Snow and Daenerys have the best plotlines imo. Ones trying to stop the real threat while the other is on a rampage to reclaim her kingdom.

I don't like her character at all.

And it was never her kingdom. She has no rightful claim to the throne, her kingdom was overthrown. It isn't like she got swindled out of her inheritance, her whole family got conquered and got the boot.

If he wins, it would be proven that he is innocent in the sight of gods and men. that's why it's called a Trial, that's how it works.
Robert can't react negatively to the Lannisters because it was proven in the trial that Jamie is innocent.
if he does, the people would see Robert being in the wrong and could probably start a rebellion towards him.


I get your point, it's just that when people call Jamie honorable it's just a big no for me considering the things he has done. I know why he did those things, but to still call him honorable.. just no.

Robert would have killed the children. Ned knew this which is why he warned Cersei and told her to gtfo. He didn't want the kids' lives on his conscience.

you guys may be right, there's a big chance he would have killed the children. after all, he did sanction the assassination of Daenery's and her unborn baby.
(even though he wanted to cancel that before he died)
we will never know what he would have really done.

with that said though, the topic that started this is about Jamie being honorable despite the things he has done(pushing Bran off the tower, killing his envoy cousin/former squire/cellmate)
did he have his reasons for doing that? sure
was it/is he honorable? no. as he said so himself. "my bloody honor is beyond repair"

Yeah thinking about it I reckon Tyrion will request Jaime to represent him in a trial by combat, which means Tywin will have to choose someone to fight his son; which if he loses both his sons die. Mind=blown. (no spoiler, I haven't read past the first 3 chapters of the first book)

I have no idea what happens legitimately, I've only watched the show the same as everyone here. I've read other people speculate in these threads and it turns out completely wrong but it's interesting to see people's ideas. Clearly the show is heading in that direction but it doesn't always go that way. I thought Tywin had plotted to kill Joffrey until the last episode, that's how unaware I am

I'm not saying you individually, but people who speculate 9 times out of 10 already know what is happening and either want to look clever or are just trolling everyone. I thought there was already a disclaimer that speculation on future events was a no go here because of all the trolls and "clever" book readers. Just don't do it.

I feel like there has to be some sort of conflict with MoD coming up. She is way too powerful not to invade the 7 kingdoms right now. She could wreck that entire place even WITHOUT her dragons.

started watching this show about a week ago. I am currently on season 2. i thought it is going to be overrated, never have I been so wrong. GOAT~!

Should be re-united next show, will be great to see how that plays out as well as the battle at Craster's. Jon/Bran are about to meet up, a lot of re-uniting of characters who haven't seen each other since the first season, assuming that actually happens. Very interesting.

Would be nice, but from previous eps I get the feeling these probable reunions are just a tease.

This watching Hodor get attacked and made fun of made me rage and was by far the most uncomfortable scene I've seen so far in GOT (Robs pregnant wife getting stabbed aside) ... Always hate to see handicapped people in trouble

The King/Queen are restricted to having the Kingsguard fight for them in a trial by combat. Not sure if that restricts Jaime from fighting for Tyrion

I haven't read the books, but I did read the pre-history of Westeros. The events that shaped the land(s) during the 12,000 years prior to Robert's Rebellion could provide some decent mini-series.

i find this hard to believe. they barely fit 3 books into 4 seasons. i don't recall reading that there will only be 2 more seasons. i do remember reading that Martin said the 4th and 5th book have just as much material as the 3rd. i believe he said that he hopes for at least 2 more seasons before he even comes out with the 6th book, and then the show will eventually overtake the book and come out before the 7th. the more the merrier i say!
