"Chicago reinstates gun and ammunition tax after court deems it unconstitutional"
The Cook County Board of Commissioners reinstated its firearm and ammunition tax after it was struck down by the Illinois Supreme Court in October. During Thursday's board of commissioners meeting, members voted to approve an amendment to a previous ordinance dealing with how firearms and ammunition are taxed in order to comply with an Oct. 21 Illinois Supreme Court ruling.
The Oct. 21 opinion struck down the tax because it impeded on citizen's Second Amendment rights. However, Illinois Supreme Court Justice Mary Jane Theis said in the court's opinion that any tax on fundamental rights must "establish that the tax classification is substantially related to the object of the legislation."
The new amendment passed by the board of commissioners directs revenue raised from the tax to a new "Special Purpose Equity Fund to fund gun violence prevention programs." Revenue from the tax will also go to "operations and programs aimed at reducing gun violence." Previously, the revenue went toward a "Public Safety Fund to fund operations related to public safety."
Under the ordinance, retail purchases are subject to a $25 tax for each firearm purchased. Centerfire ammunition is taxed at $0.05 per cartridge, and rimfire ammunition is taxed at $0.01 per cartridge.

Yeah I have the pistol too, keep it in my desk at work. My dad also has a black FN 5.7 pistol, and today he went to the gun shop and comes into work and tells me he bought another one in FDE...lmao idk why we need 3 FN 5.7 pistols. But he wanted one to match his SCAR. lol I have a rugged 9mm can in jail that I'm going to use on it.

I don’t have the pistol. May get one but the round really shines with the longer barrel. Would be neat to just have.
22 can would be cool but basically leaves you to direct thread only so I guess you could put a thread protector on the adapter when not using the suppressor.
Debated suppressing it at all because it’s designed to be as compact as possible and fit under jackets and stuff.
Pretty gnar looking with the brake though. Definitely adds length however.

the last cop they brought in to testify was a total kunt. Didn't do his job because he saw rittenhouse walking towards him with his hands up, trying to communicate, said his partner drew his gun on him because he wasn't following commands, likely due to hearing damage. Best he could do was retreat and grab "Ar15 armor" from his trunk when the bearcats took over once his squad car pulled aside. Yes, to defend themselves against the friendly that was trying to communicate and nothing more.
I learned here from this guy that cops will never ever will see you as anything other than an adversary if armed in public. it doesn't matter if you are a good guy. to them you are a bad guy6 scoops of xf up2.0 a day

Manipulation of your optic is part of your manual of arms. Things like dialing back to zero on a multirotation turret come to mind. Having lens covers on or off, etc.
Depends on what you're doing. Hitting man-sized steel? Probably 400. Head shot? 200. Identifying a target? Immediately better.
Scopes with a very forgiving eyebox and a big FOV @ 1x are the most dot like. The further past 300 you go the more a scope with a good holdover reticle starts to shineFlorida Crew as of 3/21
