I bring fractional plates in my bag and try to go up 2.5lbs each workout for some movements. Today I did close grip bench with 277.5lbs. Am I a huge dork?

I used to do that but I don't really see the point now. 5lbs is a small enough jump for any lift. I don't really mind being stuck for a while. Like if I want 5 reps and only get 4, I don't mind continuing to get 4 over and over again until I finally get 5. All fractional plates would do is put a halfway point in that process.
What I do think is useful though is to bring your own clips, ideally in a really gay color, that way it's clearly yours and won't get misplaced.People make fun of blacks, Indians and Muslims all the time on this site and no one cares. I make fun of landwhales, and all these simps show up.
At least blacks, Indians and Muslims are human beings. Landwhales belong in a zoo. They aren't even human. What is there to be offended over?

I use them because I could not make jumps of 5lbs strict pressing beyond 175
probably will use them on bench soon as I had a hard time with 240 3x5
also I'm cutting after taking years off and started with chit weight and I'm already back to near PR if not surpassing. I cannot recall ever doing 175 press 3x5. I'd usually dip down to one heavy set and progress faster, but apparently volume minimizing is not great for stimulating muscle growth
