    No Libido!

    Started a diet in summer of 2016 where I wasnt eating over 1500 calories with salad, vegetables and black coffee, along with training in the gym where I was burning 1000 calories on the stepmaster. Anyways one day I sat on the toilet in the morning and I thought to myself I was taking a piss where is my morning erection. Then I thought to myself when did I last have a morning or random erection in the last month! Anyways I was sure it was due to my training and continued for another 4-5 months Until December 2016. I am 23 and have got back to my normal weight in and have been resting for a good year rigorous exercise. I still have no morning erection or random erections like before and my sex drive is almost completely gone. I have got my testosterone checked and it came back at 436! Family Doctor said that it cannot be causing my problems, as well as the endo I went too! I have been ****ed up for a year with no ambition or anything, I mean how can I have any desire to do anything when my genitals feel numb!

    Only time I've lost libido was when I wasn't getting enough dietary fat, was only getting 30-40g per day, once I upped my fat intake my libido returned. Dietary fat is used to make hormones. Your testosterone maybe at the lower end of normal but what about estrogen levels, they have to be suitably balanced otherwise you'll have side effects like low libido.

    If you're not hitting your minimum daily fat requirement then I would up them and see if that helps. Also are you getting enough nutrients in general? Lack of certain nutrients like zinc can lead to erectile dysfunction. If you're not sure check with Cronometer, just enter your diet and it will show you where you are deficient. If none of that works then go see your doctor for further assistance.

    Whats your current calorie and fat intake?

    My sex drive diminished when cutting with low fat, no libido for me = no ambition and drive to continue cutting which was ironic.

    IIRC, you struggled with eating disorder issues, did you not? How is that going overall?

    Perhaps sometimes these things take more time than others.

    What is your weight, height, and how lean are you? How many fat grams are you eating per day? How are your mental stress levels? Things like depression can also play a role.

    I know how I felt before... I would wake up with raging erections in the morning, as well as 4-5 spontaneous ones throughout the day. It all started with this diet and training I started in May/June 2016. Ever since December 2016 , I put my normal weight back on I went back to my old diet when I felt amazing ( 5 eggs for breakfast 2-3 toasts, kefir etc) I am currently 5'9 at 161 lbs. I stayed at about 139lbs for 6 months! I am beyond frustrated. My overall strength went down as well, I get left out of breath by simply picking up a chair, meanwhile before everyone would notice I was a very strong guy. Surely Its not normal for a 23 year old to not have any erections throughout the day for a good year! Endo pretty much said they cant diagnose hypogonadism at those levels but did send me to get more bloodwork done on Coritsol, TSH, iron , zinc levels and more etc.. To make matters worse I've been in Croatia and I feel like the Drs just brush you off because you dont have bitch tits and no facial hair and a vagina growing on your forehead. This is horrible and I dont wish this upon anyone. Scrotum feels like rubber.....

    ^^I stopped counting calories and macros and all that ****, because it took such a toll on me mentally, I was obsessed with getting lean. All day in my head was planning on what low calorie food to eat when I next get hungry, some salad, black coffee or mineral water.?.. I just basically eat now, eggs, toasts, meat paste spreads, turkey, etc.... I assume I went from about 8 percent body fat to about 15% now and have been holding this percentage for a good year with now difference. Genitals just do not feel good. My balls used to feel so sensitive and just touching them would give me an erection. On my ultrasound for testicles , it said everything was alright beside the fact that there is some water surrounding the testicles... Urologist here in Croatia said that it is normal, but I have been reading about hydroceles and how they can travel, from your scrotum to your lower abdomen. I feel discomfort in my right side in the area that I found is called the Vas Deferens, as well as heaviness in the right sac. When I squeeze my testicles they feel rock hard, and desensitized, and I noticed that they hang pretty high winter/summer it doesn't matter! Best way to describe it is it feels like I have no electricity down there.

    I experienced a huge drop in libido when I did my cut (which was my first) and haven't exactly recovered since, even though I am on a bulk now and definitely eating enough cals. Not sure how I can get it back...

    i'm 23 as well and I'm sort of having the same issue. My libido is way down I thought it was because I started training heavy and my body was tired. I haven't gotten my t checked yet. Isn't 436 on the lower end of the spectrum?

    Poor libido = too few calories and/or too little grams of fat and/or way too much cardio and/or lifting. Of course other things like stress, not enough sleep etc. may also be culprits. You gotta also check more stuff in your blood work, and take multi and other supps to recover your body.

    I'm more concerned that you said you get out of breath simply picking up a chair. Have you mentioned that to a doctor? Do you get out of breath if you walk up a flight of stairs?

    It's unlikely but if you have cardiovascular disease of some sort that can cause shortness of breath and can also call erectile dysfunction.

    Depression can also cause erectile dysfunction.

    I dont really have the symptoms of shortness of breath or brain fog anymore, but my testicles still feel numb. The actualy scrotum feels numb... I dont understand this... My scrotum seems tighter up all the time and the testicles are harder just like a rock. I was originally diagnosed with orchitis but dr gave me antibiotics that I used with no improvement! Jesus christ I dont get random erections or morning wood at 23, meanwhile I would get dozens a day! Surely something is not right! My genitals have no sensation in them at all!

    Doctor is saying it must be a nerve issue.. The fact that genital numbness is a symptom of low testosterone as well as not having morning erections or random erections , the doctor does not want to see attribute it to low testosterone even though my levels came back at 436! Im 23 btw and have been having these issues for the last year and a half!

    You said you saw a urologist. Go back and talk to that doctor. Your issue likely has nothing to do with nutrition.

    Numb down there? Nerve issue! Go get diagnosed and fixed up right away. Go to a specialist. Sometimes even simple physical therapy or chiropractor can help with that. But you need to pursue this until it's resolved.

    I completely forgot... I used to eat chicken breast almost everyday , as well as 5 eggs and , lots of cereal with milk!
    Over the past year and a half I probably only have meat once every 7-10 days not even.. that . I also completely eliminated milk from my diet! I mean completely! Could that be the cause of my non existant sex drive, and numbness?

    If the amount of milk you were drinking before was contributing significantly enough to your total daily fat intake and removing it lowers your daily fat intake below the recommended minimum then yes, You say you stopped counting macros, with such sever symptoms like you are reporting i think its a good idea you start counting your fat intake.

    ya people kept telling me to check my fat intake , and I was sure it was fine, but when I went to go and list what foods I ate the only thing I can say are eggs. I am sure I messed up my vitamin and hormone levels up bad. B-12 defeciency , elevated cortisol etc... should be checking all that this week!

    You need to increase your fat intake immediately then, eggs are not even very high in fat, one large egg is only 4.5-5g of fat you need at least 70g per day, considering your fat intake appears to have been low for some time i would suggest eating more than 70g until things recover.

    I really think I had an eating dis order.. I got sooo skinny, My skin turned like yellow from all the vegetables I was eating and Black coffee. Can you give me some ideas on stuff to eat to help me reach my needs of fat intake? I thought eggs were really good for fat!

    All jokes aside -

    Start EATING! Raise that fat intake. Start taking a multi-vitamin and fish oils too.

    It sounds like you seriously have deprived your body to the extent of experiencing this. As far as test levels, you are low/normal. You fall within range, but maybe for you, you require higher test to function normal.

    Also - this has created some emotional hardships which could lead to stress and your mental state regarding this could lead to more issues.

    Go back to urologist about the numb feeling.

    Fix your eating habits and start working out. See how your body starts to feel within a few weeks time while visiting the doctor.

    This is going to take time. You'll need to be patient and optimistic. You need to keep in mind that your body is like a well oiled machine.. You need to take care of it in order to function properly and optimally.

    Stop depriving your body of nutrients and food that it needs to function. If you still feel you have an eating disorder, than you need to seek help and correct this.

    Majority of this has formed in your mind and you need to gain control. Yes, there may now be a medical issue, but it has all started with the way you think about yourself and now has placed added stress from the results of that.
