2013 Dallas Cowboys Non-Division Opponents
Home: Green Bay, Minnesota, Denver, Oakland, St. Louis
Away: Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City, San Diego, New Orleans
Edit: Oakland is a home game and Kansas City is an away game because they changed the rule and announced that teams will travel to either Kansas City and San Diego OR to Oakland and Denver when playing the entire AFC West.Last edited by ZidaneValor; 12-31-2012 at 05:40 PM.

Noone?
Romo is not the problem.
Actually, Cokehead express..or Michael Irvin said it best last night. You can't expect 2 soft running backs who barely play, and when they do you get hit or miss production.
I think they really need a RG and RT. Stabilize the line + Get a proper f*Cking running back who doesn't get banged up. I'd look into straight up getting MJD for Murray. Srs.
Regardless, depth is whats needed. That's pretty much it.Oakland Raiders! Just Win Baby!!

man the cowboys flat out suck. and this is coming from a cowboys fan. Sure romo messed up again last night, but no one stands a chance with that o-line, you could put peyton or brady back there and they wouldnt survive. We need to get our o-oline together and in place, we also need a solid RB. It wasnt only tonys fault last night, I still root for him although it does get more difficult as these types of seasons/loses go by, but many are forgetting the roughing the passer call that pretty much blew it for us

In on first page.
I really don't know where the cowboys need to go from here and I honestly don't think Jerry knows either. This is a team that should be winning on paper but isn't. There is a reason Romo was undrafted. He is the next Danny White and will never amount to anything.Traditional Wet Shaving Crew

A good starting point would be to try and get Bill Cowher or John Gruden. Both are no nonsense coaches who have that no excuses attitude and that mental toughness that this team desperately lacks. If you can't get either if those coaches, you stick with Garret.

in on new thread. romo has amazing talent but as much as i hate to say it, i dont think he will ever win a superbowl because hes way too inconsistent. a better o line would definately help tho.

innnnn. OP, edit OP with link to original thread
What a season.
Dez bryant became a man down the stretch 8 games with nearly 1k yards and 10 TDs. Sick streak.
This team needs to refocus and regather itself emotionally. Cut down on all the big contracts (Austin, Free, Ratliff)
Off season needs imo (from another forum):
center isn't a problem, cook was playing well in the big games
ratliff needs to restructure his contract and move to DE as I have been saying, though we run less of a traditional 3-4 with Ryan anyway
sign a few DT
Give doug free a reality check or bring in someone to compete with him
restructure Miles' contract or cut him and bring in someone who can play 16 games. regardless, we need more weapons at WR. Though I love harris and beasley, look at the GB packers WR corps. so many weapons.
Get another RB to help murray. he is too injury prone to shoulder the load and felix jones gets arm tackled by highschool kids
our secondary is finally not an issue, though bring in depth at Safety. Sensabaugh is very "meh"
Garrett needs to stay. Bring in a TRUE offensive coordinator who will call halfback screens and learn to truly abuse the blitz instead of relying on witten to run his outs or hook routes. not have all WRs running intermediate routes with a 6 man rush lol. Norv sounds quite good and Jerry will paydaman.
We will consider holmgren, who i wouldn't necessarily mind replacing garrett, but i have a lot of faith in garrett's system. his playcalling is a little bland though.
Our team is finally playing with accountability and heart. we are putting the pieces together
===
As for last nights game (week 17, @redskins, Season on the line)
The spread/read option is SO hard to stop. we were depleted in several key spots. I can't say our LBers knew the system well enough to dial it in. We contained it quite well for the first 2.5 quarters but Morris found lanes.
As for the unblocked rushers.. you have to look at each play individually.. They were bringing blitzing DB's from the edge on 60% of snaps and we were not making hot throws for some reason, but those didn't hurt us. Murray picked them up quite well. There was a play where L Fletcher came in on a double A gap blitz and got romo for a big sack. Those are hard to stop for ANY OL. they were bringing 5 and 6 men constantly against romo.
Our inactives/injured players in that game:
Sean Lee (left before week 6)
Bruce Carter (left thanksgiving)
Barry Church (left before week 6)
Orlando scandrick (broken hand around week 10)
Jay ratliff (late season IR groin injury)
Kenyon Coleman
Demarcus ware (played through shoulder and tricep/elbow injury)
Anthony spencer (injured lower leg in game, played through)
SIX STARTERS ON DEFENSE WERE OUT??!?!?
Dez bryant left game in 2nd half with lower back injury
Miles austin tweaked his ankle blocking
Dwayne harris got hurt on final PR of the game in garbage time
Lee and carter were out on the season so we brought in:
Orie Lemon he got hurt
Ernie sims was out for a few weeks but played week 17
Alex Albright was out for a few weeks, saw snaps in week 17
Dan Connor was our 3rd and Brady poppinga (saw significant snaps)was our 7th MLB. isthisreallife.jpg
On offense through the year we missed:
Miles Austin missed 6 weeks (Hamstring)
Demarco murray missed 6 weeks (foot)
Jason witten played first few weeks recovering from a lacerated speen and broke the single season catches by a TE record!!
our OL had been reshuffled probably 7 different times. Not sure how many games our final OL played together lol
all in all... it was an unsurprising disappointment. We could have made the playoffs but we couldn't have felt good about it.
If this squad stays healthy, I can all but guarantee we win the NFC EastLast edited by Honestly; 12-31-2012 at 02:55 PM.

Norv Turner for Offensive Coordinator = beasty offensive season without Garrett having too much on his plate!
But would he come coach there even though he was passed up on for Phillips? Hopefully no hard feelings!PRs:

Division might be Dallas next year, healthy players = more wins then 8-8. Couple that with RG3 in his sophomore year because I feel that most QBs tend to do worse their 2nd season and don't take the NFL by storm ie. Cam Newton. Then the only team to worry about is the Giants since they seem to get hot out of nowhere, and the E-girls will be restructuring with their new coach for at least a year.

so I have a few questions here gents.
1. Anthony Spencer - not totally sold on him. Is he coming up on a new contract or something? This year's explosion smells of contract negotiation
2. How good is Morris Claiborne?
3. What the hell happened to Doug Free?

1. Spencer played great this year. he has always been great at block shedding and setting the edge. incredible against the run. great production rushing the passer this year. Maybe he won't want a ridiculous contract. If he does, I wouldn't mind him leaving. we don't need the divas anymore.
2. Mo is great, I love the kid. coming out of college he was an incredible CB prospect. He has the ball skills of a WR. He is definitely better than Mike Jenkins and he will only improve as his career progresses.
3. Doug free.... Jeez I was so high on the guy coming into the year IDK what to say. There is probably an injury he is battling. Maybe it was just the shifting from RT to LT or RT that threw him for a loop... He looked good last night against WAS. I say we bring in someone to compete with himYou're a fukkin sick kunt if you want to be.

Lmao at Spencer not proving himself in some eyes. Led the team in sacks and consistently came up big down the stretch at crucial times, all while Ware was crippled and Jay was gone. He is a no brainer for 2013 and beyond.
anyway. In and out on this. Can't stomach this shiit right now and wont for a very good while. Happy new year to all my fellow fan base here who stuck through thick and thin.Discipline is the bridge between goal and accomplishment
