I was at a shop waiting for my smoothie.
As I was waiting, A girl asked me how my day was. I said good, and yours? She said good. She then read the writing on my shirt out loud.
I asked “ do you want to know where that’s[the writing on my shirt] is from? " She said “no” and walked away.
She was a high school girl, who was quite pretty (just saying, I was not hitting on her or anything as I’m far too old and in my late 20s) which made me feel bad/rejected somewhat.
Thoughts? Is this just the normal way kids talk? Am I being too sensitive? How to get over it?

Was this girl being rude, or am I being too sensitive? How to get over it?

Not rude in the slightest, especially considering the age difference. Just be happy she's giving you attention at all. And I mean that sincerely.
If anything, she was being super friendly. She just didn't ant to get into a long conversation. And likely trying to make it clear she was not interested in flirting with you.
In seriousness, you are entering dangerous mental territory, about to hit your 30s thinking high school girls are wanting to flirt with you. It's normal to be attracted to them, but you've aged out of that group, bruv.

"And likely trying to make it clear she was not interested in flirting with you."
Why the hell does she have to do that? Its not like I started the conversation with her. What does telling someone what a phrase or words mean have to do with flirting anyways?
I was just joking about her trying to flirt with me btw.AGE-25

All the reddit retards are getting mad at me for asking this question.
One retard even said this. He was calling me weird for responding.
There really didn’t need to be any clarification on your shirt. That phrase has been around for years. In all honesty, she was trying to be nice and make small talk but you made it weird by asking if she wanted to know what the phrase meant. If I was her, I would’ve done the exact same thing.Last edited by johnnydeep1; 05-26-2024 at 06:48 PM.
