I thought I was squatting oly but after watching some videos of great lifters I noticed my squats look nothing like theirs.

its tough to tell. are your hammies touching your calves at the bottom? if not that still doesn't mean thats not an oly squat. it could just be as low as you can get. honestly just get a cheap ass pair of weightlifting shoes like VS or Wei Ruis and it'll get a ton easier to hit the right position.

Looks like your depth and posture is limited by the width of your foot placement. I'd recommend going with a bit more narrow stance, and keep the toes pointing FORWARD so that you can push your knees outwards and get your torso upright between your ankles. Be like Pisarenko.
edit: Shoes would help too.112.5 snatch

You meant to say point your toes outwards, right?
Knees should always follow direction of toes. So point toes out, push knees out with them.
Also, it's personal preference but I would slow down your descent, you're just bombing it down and get rid of the PL belt and try to stay more upright when you come out the hole.
Overall still good squats thoughPBs:

Nope, if you have the ankle mobility you should be pointing your toes more forward and your knees out so that you can sit your hips DOWN and not BACK. Justin explains it well in this clip:

^^^ yeah I always make an effort to stretch with a wide base and the toes pointed straight forward. pushing the knees out and stretching the adductors with my elbows.
The one thing you don't wan't to do is FORCE yourself to squat in this position because it'll lead to some injury in the back of your knee/hamstring potentially. Just gradually stretch and work towards that perfect squat position.
OP im surprised you took your shoes off for that lol...good news is that your mobility is decent even from just seeing that video, to go down at that depth with no shoes.Snatch: 122

Thanks for the input. I'll work in bringing my foot placement in a bit. I really need to work on consistency really, sometimes they are shoulder width and others I end up 3 inches wider.
No shoes, too poor.trying to get strong again

oh no, never said u were wrong or anything, but like i assumed you were saying slow it down to like what bodybuilders do with their 5 second negative or whatever, more than one way to skin a cat and yeah i believe in a controlled bomb like that, as well as slow and controlled descent like you said. but i think a few of the reps are dive bombs like you said but he appears to have control of them all still. he doesnt ever lose his stability really

Don't care anymore, I only troll, Deal with it.
