Not sure if trolling or trying to rustle my jimmies
Your missing the whole point, IF is a way for you to burn fat without having to stay in a caloric deficit. You can even gain muscle muscle while on IF.But you keep screaming IF is meant for staying below caloric deficit while although it could happen this isnt the core reasoning for IF.But ive already destroyed your pride so theres no way you will agree to anything i say so good day to you sir
and by sir i mean *******

8 hour window, 4 hour window, it doesn't really matter. It's all up to you and based on personal preference. But the reason I do it is because 2,500 cals within a 4 hour period for me can be verrrryy filling
And eat whenever you want, if you don't want a post workout meal that's fine. I train in the morning and don't eat until about 8 at night. My deficit still remains the same so it doesn't matter.

Science behind IF? Yes.
Does IF ignore the laws of thermodynamics? No.
IF is IIFYM in an 8 hour window. I do it on cuts so I don't keep worrying about my next puny meal all day. It's extremely convenient and completely changes the mentality on a cut, but it's still calories in vs. calories out for at least 90% of nutrition.

you cannot exactly estimate the amount of calories you burn in a day, so maybe u are burning more calories than you are eating. .
IF, without calorie deficit is more of a recomposition diet (look into body recomp). . You will still need to do a calorie deficit if you wanna cut significant amount of bodyfat.
Ive been doing IF for more than 2 years. .Haters gonna hate. Come at me bro!

That's hard... depends on your BMR, TDEE, etc etc. I'm not sure if you're counting macros or not, which I would suggest. However, I'll just base everything off of calories for now. Since you are pretty big, I would say 3,000 to 3,250 calories assuming that your activity levels will increase with training? Monitor your weight for 2 weeks and adjust from there. If you're losing weight too fast, raise the cals. If you're losing it too slowly or even gaining weight, drop the calories.
Keep in mind that this is a complete shot in the dark. It takes a while for people to figure out what their maintenance level calories are.

tried intermittent fasting a few days ago and i think it's awesome. after reading all this "eat every 3 hours to boost metabolsim" and all this other technical ch!t you get over whelmed and think you gotta be eating constantly.
with IF all you gotta do is eat once a day pretty much at dinner time. so cot dayum easy. i lost 1kg water weight in 2 days~*Electronic Drums Crew*~

you would gain to much fat to counteract the fat burning from IF
you fail
Ive tried to cut traditionally many tries with many attempts and i was barely ever hungry with IF.my first meal of the day was always at 12 even before IF and i would usualy stop eating around 10 with something small to eat if i got hungry again. and i know the foods i were eating while on IF and theres no way i could maintain a low caloric intake with it
if you call 50-80g of protein sufficent then i guess so.
I stopped lifting 1 month into IF and i did no cardio whatsoever so i dont see how tv and miscing can burn a suffcient amount of calories

I've been doing it for 3 weeks. I've been experimenting with all sorts of cutting methods and have found IF to work very well.
Due to my schedule this is how my routine goes.
Wake up around 7 am and take 1 dose of ec. (Helps curb my appetite until it's time to eat.) (I have an 8 am class and on days I do not have class I sleep until about 10 am and take the dose when i get up.)
Eat lunch at 12 pm. (eggs, pb on wheat for example with some form of fruit)
Workout around 3
Protein shake post workout
Dinner about 6 pm (about half my calories for the day)
Some days I will eat a light snack such as yogurt around 7:30 but most days I go from 6 pm until 12 pm the next day without eating.
The only tough part is making it from my last meal to bed without eating. If you can make that you will be golden.
My nutrition is just a caloric deficit.HTC

you dont count calories so how do you know you are even hitting your Maintenance calorie requirement?
you eat whatever, contradicting your opposition with IIFYM.
IF protocol is meant for body recomposition (yes, you will lose weight/fat, and gain muscle slowly). However, calorie deficit is needed for losing a significant amount of bodyfat.
Again, you claim to knowa lot about intermittent fasting and its lean gain approach but fail to understand why people are doing low-no carbs on day offs.
Negged for your stupid comments.
you said earlier that you eat whatever and now you know what you are eating?
80g of protein is enough to preserve muscle mass for an average person assuming you are a twig.Haters gonna hate. Come at me bro!
