Protein shakes probably make up over half my protein intake a day (3 shakes @ 50G each so 150G a day from shakes alone out of 250G). I would love to get more from whole foods but unfortunately with my schedule getting enough protein from whole foods is just not practical.

Welcome aboard dbone! Your review/Log was a major factor in me deciding to try BF in the first place, so thank you for checking out mine.
I totally understand about the practical thing...working, lifting, wives, kids, traveling, blah blah...doesn't always leave a lot of time for protein packed meals. Protein powders can be a God-send. A tasty, tasty God-send.
I finally got my samples of Quest bars yesterday...excited to try one for a snack this afternoon. It'll help bump up my protein a little bit.

Yeah, sorry I didn't get here until page 3 Actually don't like all these BF logs, making me miss BF lol. Got a few more weeks and then I will be back on board with BF.
For better or worse Protein shakes have definitely saved the day. I eat breakfast at work (I usually head right to the gym after I wake up) so my options are limited there. Lunch is my best bet to get a whole food protein meal in. Dinner, well, generally the wife doesn't cook dinner, and I don't get home from work until after 7pm so no way I am cooking myself anything of substance at that time. Usually just have 3-4 scrambled eggs or some sort of MRP. Fortunately Gut Health has helped combat the excess protein in my diet. I still have some 3 year old Mesotech protein bars sitting in my office that I haven't finished yet
Excited to see how you enjoy BF, a great product. In for the ride here.Kenshin and Dbone's Nursing Home Adventures (ongoing) ... http://tinyurl.com/ns23wak

Definitely enjoying it so far. Trying my best to do a small cut...having good success considering my diet isn't 100% spot on. And I'm still setting some PRs along the way...can't ask for much more.
Traveling absolutely kills my diet. Last weekend I was in Iowa and I'll be in Iowa again this weekend for my wife's birthday. Too many meals out...too much sodium... I probably eat more than my usual protein though.
And training...ugh...the hotel's "gym" had three pieces of cardio equipment. I'm not expecting 100 lb DBs and a power rack, but many hotel gyms will still have a few DBs laying around. I can at least do something with those.
Oh well, I'll be hitting the gym tomorrow night with my bro...I'm on a cycle off stims, but no biggy...I'm in the mood to hit it hard.

You know, I haven't noticed much of a change in my well being really. That could be a result of diet more than anything though. Cutting is never as fun as bulking...perhaps if I was eating more I'd be "happier."
I'm usually a pretty happy person though...I don't feel depressed or anything of course...just kinda the usual. I figure losing some pounds and setting a few PRs is results enough for me.
Perhaps I should run BF longer or stack it with something else. Not sure. Maybe next time around...

I guess the changes wont be that pronounced as for someone like me.
I am not depressed by any means either. Very happy in fact (<--- just look at that emoticon). I guess what I mean by well being doesnt have much to do with happyness. For the past 3-4 years I have needed a lot of sleep to function well with ease, where I didnt feel light headed etc. Actually, it often seemed like I always needed more sleep. No matter if it was 7 hours or 9 hours of sometimes 12 hours. I tend to not "feel" great or fresh, clouded in terms of my thoughts, lethargic. My bloodwork might illustrate this.
After 3 weeks of bioforge, a lot of these symptoms have been alleviated. I was just wondering whether you had also experienced any changes in your well being. For someone who doesnt have such problems to begin with it might not be that big of a concern
Perhaps its because of an increase in my test levels? I hope so!

I had my test levels checked in May...I forget what the exact number was, but I remember being on the higher side of the normal range. Perhaps BF won't have such profound effects on me because of that. I'll have to double check that number when I get home tonight.
Welcome aboard!
As I mentioned earlier, I'm cycling off stims for a lil' bit, so I'm giving Body Octane HV a try...I just had a scoop and I got a nice case of BA tingles going on

I'm aiming for 290g protein, and even doing IF and only really eating for one 3-4 hr window each day it's hard with whole foods. There's only so much chicken/fish/steak you can take at one time. I mean...it was fun the day I BBQd 3 pounds of chicken breast, but there's definitely such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Really good workout tonight. Set a PR of 195x7 on the bench press. The last three times I've done 195 I only managed 6 reps each time. So, a small PR, but it's PRogress nonetheless.
Had great endurance tonight...just wanted to move the weight. Definitely a fun night, especially considering I'm off stims.

I'm not sure if the BF effects come in waves or what. I'm 5 weeks in, so I would think I'm in the sweet spot. I had a good night in the gym last night, but sort of a mediocre workout this morning (DOMS from last night hindered me a bit I think). I sorta went off on a woman who almost ran me over in the street today. I saw her, but she didn't see me I guess and just kept on driving and then honked at me! I yelled an expletive at her as she drove off and as I was walking away I was like, "jeez, where did that come from?" I was instantly angry...but thankfully it went away as fast as it came.
My muscles feel very full today...I can easily sorta bounce my pecks which is fun and I'm way hornier than usual...No backne yet though at least
Some days I don't feel any different than usual and other days, like today...well, something's going on.

I've also been pretty good about upping my protein the past few days. I'm not quite getting to 200, but easily in the 150-175 range every day. Just a matter of drinking a protein shake with my omelet or getting an extra chicken sandwich at lunch etc. And I'm still managing to fit it all in my macros.
In fact, I'm sipping some XF Arctic Whey at work right now. Puts me at roughly 110g and I still have dinner to look forward to

Really? How much of that is shakes?
My problem is that I eat at my grandmother's house at least twice a week and sometimes more. I sometimes bring protein powder or leftovers, but usually I eat what she makes because, let's be honest, generally gma's know how to cook. Tonight was roast beef with mashed potatoes and green beans. I ate plenty of roast...how many calories and grams of protein? I have no idea, but probably a lot...or at least enough.
It's easier to really watch my macros when I don't go over there, but...well, I like seeing my gma obviously. It's worth the unknown macros sometimes

Triceps
My tris are hurtin' today...and I worked them out two days ago. I was doing straight bar skullcrushers...4 sets of varying weight.
There are about 1000 tricep exercises, but what are everybody's favorites? I tend to get the most out of skullcrushers, but also like CGBP, cable kickbacks (for that extra squeeze) and dips (but my shoulders don't always love those).
I do cable pushdowns too, but never seem to get the same burn as with skullcrushers or CGBP.
Any great exercises I'm missing out on?

Yeah, I bumped it up to three shakes when I started my cut. Typically one shake post workout, one shake with breakfast, and a shake at some point later in the day as a snack (Myofusion Vanilla). As well, I am now drinking 3 BCAA drinks a day (usually one intra workout either Xtend or Core ABC, one 15 minutes post workout Protocol, and one later in the day). This has helped keep me feeling full on the cut instead of wanting to raid Dunkin Donuts!

Love skullcrushers, my go to tri exercises (I use an EZ bar, feels a little better on my wrists). Sometimes when I do I keep my arms at a 90 degree angle and simply lower the bar right behind teh top of my head, other times I will actually bring the bar much lower so it looks more like a pullover. I have been doing dips for my chest workout so I stopped doing dips for tris (felt it was too much). Otherwise I like doing a lot of cable exercises really focusing on the squeeze, and one arm skull crushers lying down with a dumbbell. It doesn't take much to put a hurtin on those tris
