Yes you can vary the meats, salmon is fatty so don't replace with a lean one
taken from Dave Q&A:
for lean protein: "chicken (or Turkey, or Tuna, or tilapia, flounder, or cod)"
for fatty protein meal: "Salmon, Swordfish, or 8oz RED MEAT"
I'm sure having the cheat meal 1 day earlier or later will be fineAll posts should be considered in the correct context, especially those in the Misc section.

Strong noob here but how exactly does Keto help with fat loss vs cutting carbs and a 500 cal deficit? It's all about cals in and cals out right? But I hear you guys say being in ketosis will burn fat first instead of carbs for energy so is that just like the fats you eat or it actually burns bodyfat? and in keto you cant eat any carbs at all?

For the people that can't really stomach eggs, what have you been replacing the egg meal with?
Also anyone have any experience with the fat burner Musclepharm Shred Matrix?

by what i was reading some ppl do 2 weeks to be "safe" others do it in the first week without problems.. I was kindah in the middle since my cheat meal is on a sunday but i started the diet on a friday so I had a week and those three extra days.. the first cheat meal I went up 9lb's the next day, lost all of that plus 1lb for that week, this week i went up 4lb in the cheat so i'll see how this week goes
by the way, I was hearing a guy at the gym talking about keto so i went in and had a convo about this diet and they told me that Mayo isn't really allowed in keto.. my fatty meal is essentially tuna with mayo so im wondering what's so bad about it lol

I'm only using the sizeon as a friend gave it away for free, I'm not sure if it's that beneficial but it gives me an extra 10g of protein and stops me from being hungry during my workouts, lol.
Good luck with the weigh in, keep focused and you will hit your goal no doubt.
The great thing about this diet is even when you don't lose significant weight you can still see big changes in the mirror.

i am overjoyed i am 239 today even though it took a bit longer but a the same time i am happy non the less.
and i did some tests, it isnt the diet that was making me stall cause ive changed it around 4 times, i figured instead that it was the cheat meal, that for some reason the clean complex cheat meal doesnt help me and actually causes more bloat.... so, i will be doing dirty to the max cheats from now on, cause the complex carb cheats dont seem to do anything to me.7/22/10 heaviest - 318lbs

You're not eating strictly keto, and following the guidelines set for you by Dave, I wouldn't see why mayo wouldn't be allowed, especially if it makes the diet tolerable for you, specifically. I do the same thing, but take into account the allotted calories/fat from the cashews and supplement the protein by adding a slight amount of tuna.
For example:
Mayo(tbsp) -> 90 cals & 10g fat
cashews (1 serving = 1oz) -> 160 cals & 26g fat+18g carbs+5g protein
That being said, tuna should not be your fatty meal (assuming you're not adding a 1/2 jar of mayo for 8oz of tuna).
