I am currently 175lb roughly 16-17%BF and I my goal is to be around 183lb with 9-11%BF. I recently lost about 40lb but I lost it way too fast so I lost about 18lb of muscle in the process, which is making me think that I should do a clean bulk to about 195 then do a CORRECT cut to about 175-180. But I fear that if I bulk now I will get up to like 20%BF and it would be much harder for me to get down to 9-11%BF. What do you think I should do?....

Thanks man, I appreciate your advice. Do you think this a strong diet, or I am consuming enough calories(roughly 2000) if my BMR is 1800 and I burn about 1200calories in the gym/work.
My new diet(with more protein to retain or gain muscle) looks like this....
Breakfast 515am
Organic Oatmeal... 210calories, 6g protein, 38g carbs, and 3g fat
PostWorkout(before HIIT)815am
2scoops of cytogainer ...290calories, 28g protein, 39g carbs, 2g fat AND 1.5g creatine
Snack 945am
Steamed veggies
Lunch 1230pm
Lean Ground Beef sandwich on wheat bread and a little ketchup... roughly 400calories, 30g protein, 26g carbs, 12g fat
Snack 330pm
2 scoops of cytogainer... 290calories, 28g protein, 29carbs, 2g fat AND 1.5g creatine
Dinner 7pm
6oz grilled chicken and 6oz lean ground beef with a little ketchup... 500calories, 65g protein, 3g carbs, 15g fat
Late Night 1045pm
Casein protein shake... 120calories, 24g protein, 3g carbs, 1g fat
1910 calories, 181g protein, 138g carbs, 36g fat, 3g creatine........ am I taking in too little protein and too much carbs?

Bro, I'd put you at about 14-15 percent BF, defs not any higher than that. My advice would be to bulk while you're still lean, rather than cutting down to 160ish and having to put on 30-40 pounds, most of which would be fat. I think your best bet is to bulk now while you're lean, and then do a slow cut from there.

Go for the 195 bro!
Lift hard, 4-5days a week.
Eat very clean... no refined food, in no way!
Go for a 50/30/20 (protein/carbs/fat) intake for 3500kcals a day.
Fish, chicken, eggs, walnuts, almonds, lots of veggies, brown rice, oatmeal, whey protein shakes,apples,banana... your diet should be consist of that kind of foods...
I assure you, when you eat this, every day, with no cheat meals, and no kinds of sugars/ bad fats.. you will reached the 195 with a minimum fat gain.
Then, you reched the 195, go for a good cut, with 1800 kcals a day.

thanks for all the opinions!!
The problem with bulking is that when I eat a lot I feel like I am going to get fat again(belly fat is what concerns me the most really) and mentally it messes me up. Also when I say cut I dont mean going down in weight to 165 or so, I just mean losing BF%. I also become full very fast so it is hard to bulk for me, but for me to reach my goal I think it would be smarter to bulk.... I am just very undecided! lolLast edited by nyk2423; 03-30-2010 at 08:23 AM.
