done that... didn't work
That's how I've been feeling lately. Fcking stomach has been killing me...
Because tiger put himself out there as a sweet wholesome accomplished gentleman. Now he sleeps with another woman and he's a monster.
But lady gaga puts or rihanna or whoever puts themselves out as a drugged up whore and makes songs about fcking tons of people while their bf blows them up and it's celebrated.
Two reasons;
one - the initial image portrayed
two - the target audience. Think about it - tiger appeals to older people and golf fans. The idea of adultery is a gigantic sin to them (even though they prob do it too). Music caters to kids who just wanna get wasted and fornicate.
lol
and srsly all you guys talking about parents n sht....
I didn't HAVE parents. I had a mom who worked 50+ hours a week to afford a fcking trailer so my dad could sit on his ass doing nothing but beating the sht out of us.
She divorced him when I was 15 and I went apesht and just did whatever the fck I wanted. My mom had NO control.
And you're sitting here bitching about "My parents are mad I only have $4k in my IRA instead of the $10k they gave me"
wtf.
This laguna beach brah?
Be grateful you even HAD parents that TAUGHT you how to be financially intelligent or career-minded. My "parents" are fck ups and I made more money than them selling drugs and working construction (no al pal) and tbh, between financial aid and a min wage job I make almost as much as my mom does now.
Do you even realize the opportunities afforded to you by their upbringings and sacrifices? Do you realize that there are people who would KILL to start over and have those opportunities? I'm not taking sides - believe me, if you don't like it move and you won't have to hear it, but ffs - this is like listening to bill gates cry about how he doesn't have any where to put his next billion.

Yes.
Last year was my parents' 25 wedding anniversary and my dad got my mom a new Benz "for all the years she had to put up with [him]".
I asked my mom what she was doing for my dad. She got him a card and a box of golf balls.
Bitch.
I can't move to DC without a job I really can't live anywhere without a job.
And if I stayed here in Jersey and kept the job I have now I'd have a hard time finding a roommate since the residential places around are completely out of my price range anyway and most kids move out of Jersey. We have a problem with 'Brain Drain' here.
Yes I am aware that I am dragging my feet and making excuses. I'm working on a game plan at the moment. Not sure what exactly my next move is yet.
You're still doing more venting then doing
Is Hawaii far enough?
I have explained to them why I don't wanna live that life and they don't understand. It's mostly my mother - I really think my dad doesn't give a ****.
See, that's what I'm thinking. I don't need a Master's to grow coffee, tobacco and tea. Or write.
this x 1million
I think that's why I'm dragging my feet so much and not being upfront with them.
this is funny bc this is my life now. we hardly ever make ends meet, got a mom and a dad and a little sis. have a dog and a cat and a pot belly pig and live on 2 acres with a farm house in texas. never thought my life was something to be desired....
I just wanna be happy and content with 3 kids and my man. ANYWHERE... as long as I have a roof over my head and food in my kids' bellies I'll be happy.
Grown up poor all my life... My standards are lower than most ha.
See, I don't see your "standards" as "low".
Not to brag, but I've rubbed elbows with the rich, famous, and powerful and experienced that lifestyle. It's nothing to write home about and is pretty empty, actually. Took me a while to see it, but I have and I've realized that it's not what I want at all. In fact, I'd prefer to be far as away from that lifestyle and those sorts of people as possible.
A family friend took me to the Waldorf=Astoria a few times for an annual black tie dinner and they put me up in a $2k/night suite for a few nights (was comped by some Foundation) and I remember thinking it was cool the first time I went. But the second time I distinctly remember sitting at dinner with a bunch of Judges and politicians and wondering WTF I was doing there and finding their conversations utterly retarded and all a show. Those aren't cool people to me.
I'd much prefer to sit in front of my TV in sweats with my dog and kill a pizza while watching Dirty Jobs.
Serious.
The only person Tiger has to apologize to is his wife and kids. **** the fans....he's a golfer! Not the effing president!
I feel ya. I'm actually paying for the roof over my head - I do pay rent. I know what I need to do and you're all right. I just was in tears this morning and needed to vent a little.
You all made me feel better believe it or not.domari nolo

lulz. I wouldn't know I've never lived in one of those neighborhoods
I guess I just get defensive when I hear people complaining about their parents... it's like fck dude, at least someone loved you enough to TRY and make you come out right. Who cares if they were overbearing about it? That's better than nothing at all, and you're probably better off today because of it. Think about how many kids nowadays are growing up with JUST a mom cause some dumb lil alkie hooked up with some douche and now she's waitressing so her and the kid can afford an apt. in the ghetto. Think about how THAT kid's gunna grow up. I had a friend in high school that got pregnant and kept losing jobs cause she had to tend to her son and she ended up blowing guys for extra money between jobs.
Think about that kid's life...
Plus it's xmas and I'm a grinch. No family, no presents, snow everywhere.. I fcking hate it.
My only memories of xmas are listening to my friends bitch about how they didn't get a new bike or super nes and I'm like "oh yea.. that sucks, I got uh.. mcdonalds and twenty bucks..."Last edited by janky; 12-10-2009 at 11:33 AM.

lol
Yeah, I totally agree. I just suppressed the urge to rant.
My mom had me just a couple of months before becoming a teenage pregnancy statistic. She did the waitress thing...I hope she didn't blow people for money though. lol. My parents got married because of the accident (me) but that didn't last long. I'm not even going to talk about how ****ty the first 10 years of my life were. My dad disappears for years at a time and then reappears and tries to be in my sister and I's lives.
Plus, I think because my parents had kids too young they are financially reckless. My dad had to "borrow" money to buy his new wife a birthday present. When I was in HS we would visit my dad in Chicago, and I started a savings account to put the money I made from the job I'd gotten out there (over 7k in the account). I left it out there because I thought I would go to college out there. But my dad disappeared along with my savings account. Also, I had to make a mortgage payment for my mom and her loser (now ex) husband when I was in ****ing high school.
Commenting on the amount of $$$ you have sure beats taking it from you. And while I know nothing is perfect and no one is ever really happy with everything, I agree with janky, I hope you don't take what you have for granted.
I'm not ashamed to admit I am envious of people who have two parents making up a "traditional" family.
Wow, this sucks. Thanks for making me remember **** I didn't want to think about, janky. Misc therapy FTL. lol.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

i wanna move to Hawaii
I don't take it for granted. In fact I cook, clean, do laundry for everyone in an effort to show my appreciation, but all I get is beat down.
I get told that my meals aren't hot enough, I fold clothes the wrong way, I gave my dad my brother's socks, I don't have enough money saved - why?, I should wanna apply to law school, your mother left her shoes in the living room - why didn't you pick them up?, etc.
You're right- getting comments about $$ isn't as bad as getting it taken from you, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't/shouldn't hurt.
I get called a loser and worthless for not having as much in my accounts as they think I should. Never mind I was a full time student for 5 years, had my phone, health insurance, car payments, loans, etc. to pay for. I think I'm actually doing pretty well for my age. I have a credit score of 786 atm - how many 24 year olds can say that?
They act like I'm making 50k a year LMAOdomari nolo

well yeah. I dont have to really say it out loud, but i will if i have to. Ive posted this b4, every single girl ive ever had has lost weight or toned up when she was with me. I tell them how i like their hair to look, and what clothes i think look best on them. Of course i dont really make any demands, but if a woman knows what i want/like and doesnt do it, she is not the girl for me. I like women who are desperate to please me.
i can make you better.

i'm with you on this for sure
A girl is free to do whatever she wants, but im assuming she wants to look good for me, especially if im putting in effort to look good for her. I drop suggestions and what not, granted they dont have to be 100% at all times, nah i dont like that either, but if we're going out and im looking good, i hope she'd put in some effort, otherwise i just lose attraction for her.
