Most of that stuff on show was dummy equipment. They are real platforms but no weapons or dummy tubes.
The real stuff is still where it's supposed to be.
The Chinese has 4 layer nuclear defense.
1) Air launched from strategic bombers.
2) Nuclear subs.
3) Silo based ICBM's.
4) Mobile vehicle based ICBM's.

The first of Britain's new Type 45 destroyers took to the waters of the Clyde as the world's most advanced air defence ship."the Royal Navy operates 58 nuclear-armed Trident II D-5 submarine-launched ballistic missiles and around 200 nuclear warheads on 4 Vanguard-class ballistic missile submarines from Clyde Naval Base on Scotland's west coast."
Sorry, what?

I am willing to bet more that 80% of those are old soviet systems underneath, and out of those 80% at least 40% is built with out paying licensing fees to Russia.
China has man power but it didn't help them back in the 50s when the Russians literally mowed them down and bulldozed the bodies across the border back to china.

China > US in the economy already: http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/
Nope, this parade is to show off 100% Chinese made stuff. As far as I am concerned, I read that these toys are equivalent to America's in many way.

It's hard to imagine a near-future scenario where China and America would be direct enemies in war. Neither has much to gain from conquering the other and A LOT more to lose. Both of their places as world superpowers would be comprimised and neither would make it out on top in the long run due to the loss inflicted in the struggle. Even if America defeated China, trying to convert their people to democracy would be a total exercise in futility; communism has been engrained for over half a century.
A much more likely scenario would be a quiet alliance of China and the Western Powers against the new power rising in the middle east. Fundamental Islam is spreading faster than any other religion in the world by a large margin. From Africa, to India, Indonesia, and Southern China. Radical Islam is a threat to both America and China. The Nations of Islam are a common and more practical enemy, for both powers, with much more to gain and a lot less to lose.
With long term interests in mind, a war between China and America would be a very foolish and costly engagement for both sides. Unless you want to see Islam usurp a role of world superpower, a likely outcome in the aftermath, I would pray against a war with China.

The Chinese are not as stupid as the West.
They would never get involed with a war with an enemy that you can't see for the benifit of the West.
The long term Chinese stragegy is to let the US deplete itself in the middle east, Afghanistan and North Africa. While China builds relations with those countries and use the wastes it's economy fighting the militants.

I suppose it depends on the ambitions of China, and right now, Chinese ambitions seems pretty damned high with the spectacles they have been putting on. Not only with their military, but also culture and development. I'm not sure if China is content on letting the West chew up valuable and resource rich land in the Mid East without China eventually coming up to the plate for their piece of the pie.
Thats one of the reasons why any military success we have in Iraq and Afghanistan is kept on the downlow; as to not provoke China (or Russia) to push their way to the table for the feast of the middle east.

I think it is the newest weapons. Atleast the carrier missiles. I read somewhere it was just invented recently. And the plane they showcased was supposedly a mystery because the satellite the plane used wasn't round, but rectangle. So currently the world doesn't know what frequency it's on and where it sends messages to.
