quoting the head nurse at the hospital in my area because almost everyone knows where the dui checkpoints are by the time they leave the bar/party/whatever they take more back roads which are typically smaller and harder to navigate at night when ur drunk they have a ton in incidences where drivers come in cause they wrapped their car around a tree

I'll have to agree with this. DUI is one crime that is justified. Too many innocent lives at steak to allow a drunk person to drive.
Now on the other hand, if I, by myself, want to smoke a little ganja... the fact that the government tries to tell you what you can and cannot do to your own body... well that's immoral. And unjustified. And if I'm causing no trouble to others...
Can a cop here please tell me that I'm wrong?member of the 1000lb club (ya rly)

er, no my friends friend... I didn't even know the person... and I agree that person was a complete moron killing 2 people. What now, Im saying your downplaying drunk driving as nothing and it's no big deal like nobody is gonna get hurt.
Id like to hear what you have to say when it happens to somebody you know

That is probably the most retarded comparison put forth in this entire thread.
Oh, and in case you haven't realized it, everything you argue about the legalization of marijuana is simply your OPINION. Stop trying to legitimize it by associating it with factual moral atrocities like the holocaust that having nothing to do with anything being discussed here. It makes you look stupid...seriously.SHEEPDOG #36 *S* 1\*

Then there are the wolves and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy. Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

You should be a lawyer.

Drug laws are ruining lives every day. That's not a fact?

Do some research into the subject. See how much of citizens' money goes to this "war on drugs". A prohibition which is an even larger failure than the alcohol prohibition.
Now, end the war on drugs and instead invest this money into a more needed operation- say a war on sexual assault, murder, theft, etc. Instead of throwing crackheads in jail, try putting them into a rehabilitation program. This way, they won't be turned into a criminal by being put in jail.
What you'd have is a happier and safer United States. But with the current status of our government, "happy" and "safe" aren't realistic values.member of the 1000lb club (ya rly)

thats a typical argument by someone who is pro drug.
Please explain how you stop somebody from being murdered, sexually asaulted, or robbed... You come up with a theory to protect people before something happens.
I have a couple ideas... but it's probably expensive
1. Give everyone a personal force field that automatically triggers when sexual predators are around.
2. Create a device that reads minds of predators, thieves/robbers, killers... etc. And when the thought occurs... arrest them for premeditation.
See where I am going with this? Your argument won't work, you can't invest money into stopping people on people crimes. It's the parents job to raise someone to have the values and morals not to do such things, also it's partially the medias job and society.\
And guess what... we do have rehabilitation programs for drug offenders... do you think it works all the time?Last edited by Seanl262; 12-05-2008 at 02:08 PM.

I feel confident in predicting that these particular cops will do no such thing, for anyone, any time soon.
Can't rule it out, but I'm pretty close to 100% on that one.
I mean, "in theory" Rosie O'Donnell might lose weight -- it's possible, we can't rule it out. But anyone who actually thinks that it will happen is not thinking clearly.
