Every institution has corruption within its doors whether it is the police force, the church or whatever. Having said that their are good cops who legitimately do their job...I have met some and *******s who should never wear a badge. It just is more flagrant when those who are called to protect do not...

This is what it breaks down to. When I do my job poorly someones PC doesn't get fixed or the network is down for a minute... When cops are jackasses things get ROYALLY fuked up. I believe they should be held to a much higher standard. They do not. Go figure.

it has been my expierience that the majority of police officers are pieces of **** they would rather pull people over for dui and make easy arrests than handle any real crime when i lived in philly u could drive through north philly as soon as it gets dark and witness crimes go down all night and not see one cop all night but drive through the suburbs and they got dui stops everywhere they break up parties and all other kinds of bull**** that doesnt negatively effect society

quoting the head nurse at the hospital in my area because almost everyone knows where the dui checkpoints are by the time they leave the bar/party/whatever they take more back roads which are typically smaller and harder to navigate at night when ur drunk they have a ton in incidences where drivers come in cause they wrapped their car around a tree

i completely agree but the current dui system the police have or i guess it lies more in the hands of the courts does not cause any reform it seems like more of a way for them to raise money

Now, end the war on drugs and instead invest this money into a more needed operation- say a war on sexual assault, murder, theft, etc. Instead of throwing crackheads in jail, try putting them into a rehabilitation program. This way, they won't be turned into a criminal by being put in jail.

What you'd have is a happier and safer United States. But with the current status of our government, "happy" and "safe" aren't realistic values.

Please explain how you stop somebody from being murdered, sexually asaulted, or robbed... You come up with a theory to protect people before something happens.

I have a couple ideas... but it's probably expensive

1. Give everyone a personal force field that automatically triggers when sexual predators are around.
2. Create a device that reads minds of predators, thieves/robbers, killers... etc. And when the thought occurs... arrest them for premeditation.

See where I am going with this? Your argument won't work, you can't invest money into stopping people on people crimes. It's the parents job to raise someone to have the values and morals not to do such things, also it's partially the medias job and society.\

And guess what... we do have rehabilitation programs for drug offenders... do you think it works all the time?
