I am close to 40 and have been running a 5x5 programme for a couple of months.
I look in decent shape and everyone comments on how well I'm looking but tbh I am carrying a bit of extra timber on the stomach and love handles.
I want to get in to the shape I was in my 20's. I find I gain weight very easily these days and I wouldn't say I'm eating more than when I was leaner.
I know the programme I'm running is not ideal when on a cut, what would you say is optimal for someone my age who's recovery is poor. I am a terrible sleeper and a stress head so I imagine why inflammation markers are sky high.
