Hey Coach,
I saw you still pull heavy after so many years of training, have you had the fortune of never having a slipped disc or compressed vertebrae fracture?
I'm asking because I've approached the deadlift and RDLs, and I've injured my quadratus lumborum 3 times now whenever I pull 2x bodyweight. The first time was a 1 rep max early into lifting. The second time was doing 5 rep work sets after a couple years of training. Last week I thought I had it figured out by keeping 15 rep sets, focusing on the stretch of the RDL, but it got me anyway.
I guess my question is, how do you avoid injuries while pulling heavy? Not pull from the ground?► Intermediate Bodybuilding Classic Physique ► Renaissance Periodization Programming
