Only thing that saved the guy from immediately getting dumped was the fact that his girl got beat down 10x worse. They then proceeded to go home and argue about something completely unrelated(because they’re both too embarrassed to bring up the fight but need to vent) while the old couple went home to have the best sex they’ve had in 4 years.

it's crazy how much of a paradigm shift you go through when you have actual training, it's just not even fair to fight untrained people, every punch, or kick is an opportunity for you.

It's humbling when you spar or roll with someone more skilled. In hard sparring, i've had my ribs bruised to where breathing becomes painful and getting in and out of my car agonizing. In jiu jitsu, I was arm barred and unable to brush my teeth or comb my hair for a few days. Years later, my right elbow still cracks when I extend it every once in a while.

Every man should put themself through some discipline of fighting to both gain some confidence that you are capable of doing something to defend yourself but also to understand the gap that exists between skilled fighters and you.
