If u want to buy the cheapest new or used
At the end of the day
Does it matter what u buy
Regardless of what u buy the average car payment is 300-400 per month if u buy new or used taking into accounts repairs.
Used or beaters are only good if u know how to repair cars ur self to save $
So y not just buy new?
I’m thinking of getting a 2018+ camry or accord but am deciding if I should get used. New, or cpo. I feel like they are all the same price in the end so y not just buy new.
Y camry or accord over corolla or civic? Cuz it works for Uber comfort and Lyft comfort which needs to be 2018+ but the prices are so close to y not just buy new
Also prolly just gonna take out a loan through credit union since it may be cheaper and better interact rate
And just pay 300-400 a month
Am still considering the Mitsubishi Mirage since it’s the cheapest new but y not pay a bit more and get a camry even if it’s not new
But I don’t plan to drive much anyways so I feel like I just need a car around 5-10k but then worried about repairs
Like a 2012 corolla or civic but it’s so hard to decide what to do I’ve been looking at cars all day now and I hate it
Everything is always too expensive or has a problem I hate this
I wish I could just pay someone that can help me find the perfect car
Going with new is also good don’t have to worry about inspections

Why not buy new? Because of depreciation. Everyone knows the depreciation of a typical car is at its worst during the first years of its life. At least if it's 3+ years old you've evaded the worst of that depreciation.
MSRP on a 2021 Camry was $25k for the LE with no add-ons. Now the most expensive (usually coinciding with lowest mileage to boot) 2021 Camry LE I can possibly find on auto trader isn't even $20k, srs. And that one has a couple of upgrades too to boot.i7-14700k

$19.5k with 15k miles, but the add-ons would've made it probably $27k new back in the day. So basically dropped $7.5k in 3 years.
As long as you're OK with the minus $5k or so over all for the stronger depreciation associated with buying it new... AKA looking out for your future 2028 self who might want to trade it in for another car but getting only like 65% of what you paid for it if you're lucky.
EDIT:
Why not just save up and buy a car with cash instead? It sucks already to have a depreciating asset. It'll suck even more to also throw further negativity to your net worth as a result of interest accruing to boot.
I have a '18 Camry myself. Paid off years ago pre-COVID. Haven't had a car payment in years. Can still trade this sucker in for probably $16k+ thanks to the low mileage and overall health.
I've been eyeballing the 2025 Camry lineup. When I get a house (w/ a garage) I'll probably trade mine in for a certified pre-owned 2025 Camry XLE, paying the difference with cash.i7-14700k

Dude I’m not good with math numbers and cars talk so hard to understand what ur sayin
idc about addons I just want the base version
Also idk but I feel like used or cpo corolla Camrys civics accords are very close to the price of a new one like 3-5k difference and I feel like at the point just get a new one?
Also if I’m buying used interest rates are usually higher than new so then again it’s not worth it
Interest on this mirage is like 2k which over 5 years isn’t that bad.
Also I would rather have money now cuz I’m trying to live my life to the fullest atm got my entire mid and late 30s and 40s and 50s to fkin make money right now I want to enjoy it which is another reason to keep monthly payments low and buy the cheapest best car which I think would be new if possible
With these used 5-10k cars prolly a lot of repairs but not sure even if it’s a corolla with 100-150k miles?
Also was thinking of buying a camry or accord for Lyft comfort or Uber comfort but they basically pay regular price now so it’s not worth itI don't check my CP, IDC about reps/negs
