Missouri cop murders small blind dog.

dog probably needed to be put out of its misery, based on the early parts. but kinda fukked how he just ended it there. coulda definitely been a little more humane about it.

1. You are responsible for your dog-why is your dog, blind/deaf or otherwise left alone in a yard they can escape from & get run over, attack people etc?

2. They are responding to a report of a possibly rabid dog that is a threat to human life.

3. The cop didn't just roll up & shoot it-he spent ages trying to catch it & the dog wouldn't play ball.

4. Doesn't this hick place have actual dog catchers/dog rescuers/vets that do this stuff? Why are cops having to waste their time running around trying to catch strays like a Benny Hill scene, instead of dealing with actual crime?

Exactly-the blame as usual lies with the owners who either chain their dogs up outside in the blazing sun, supply no food or water to them, or like this guy sod off & have properties their dogs can easily escape from-I mean christ, this one cannot even see & yet it can get out & run around in public.

A blind-and-deaf dog was shot and killed by a Sturgeon police officer on Sunday, the city confirmed in a Monday social media post. The city claimed the officer saw the dog “behaving strangely and displaying signs of possible injuries” that was “perceived to be rabid behavior.”

The only person who is totally accountable for this is the deceased dog's owner. The owner should not be allowed to have any pets and I'd actually charge him with animal neglect. You have a dog in THAT condition, you do NOT let him out of your sight if the doggy is outside, ever. Aside from what ended up happening, another dog could have attacked this small dog, or it could have been hit by a car, or otherwise wandered off into some hazard. His neglect led to this dog's death.
