That's why I said most airlines my dude. The few that do accept cash are dependent on the services available at the airport.
https://www.aa.com/i18n/customer-ser...nt-options.jspYou can pay with cash or check at some airport ticket counters or travel centers.
And you gave your SS# when opening your basic checking account, meaning they checked your credit score and set your spending limits accordingly.

do you not know what depositing the money into a checking account means? are you talking about lines of credit and credit cards???
because i am talking about a basic checking account that is backed by your cash deposits... aka.. you already have the money and it's sitting in your account to spend.
example, hotel costs $1,000, and you have that in your account. don't need any FICO, the bank is not loaning you anything, it's your money.
what are you even talking about.Last edited by CalmWind; 05-23-2024 at 12:32 PM.

I'll try to not be condescending, please read the terms and conditions of setting up bank accounts and accessing your deposits through writing checks and using a debit card. It's not purely "your money" once you agree to the terms.
I won't say every bank is the same because I don't know, but mine have always required I give them permission to run a credit check before they will approve the new account. They will check FICO and ChexSystems to look for past fraud and financial history. If you read the fine print you'll likely find that a credit score is used to determine how quickly deposits are cleared for withdrawal, and along with things total deposits, used to determine your daily debit card withdrawal and purchasing limits, and help them mitigate your overall risk as a customer.

No, I'm not. What I wrote was that
a low score will leave you struggling to buy plane tickets
If you read to struggle as meaning absolutely cannot, then let me know and I'll clarify further because that was not my intent.

Who said it would?
LOL, you're absolutely incapable of reading or comprehending anything aren't you? I will try one more time though, maybe Chase will do a better job of reaching your autistic inner child than I did.

Interesting.
Let me refresh your memory:
In practice there is little difference between our "FICO score" and whatever a social credit score is, we're just not as blatant about how it is used.
So are you ready to admit that having a low FICO score is not at all like having a low social credit score in China?
Or are you finally going to show me how a low FICO score means you are not allowed to buy plane tickets?
Pick one.

Didn’t read thread but I agree with OPs thread title.
Things have gotten worse each decade after 1920. FactsTsar Ivan IV Grozny:
“And if you, having a dog's mouth, want to bark for fun—that's your custom as a serf: it is an honor to you, but it is disgrace for us to think of you, let alone to snarl back at you, and there is naught worse in this world than to bark along with you, and if you want to bark, find yourself a serf like you, and bark with him."

Sometimes. Reminds me of our secret no-fly lists.
Are you saying you see zero parallels between China's social credit rankings and the credit, consumer, insurance and investment risk scores and criminal background checks that are applied to people and companies in the US?
Because when you mentioned yesterday that I might want to look into it, I did. This was one source I read through, you should link one of yours. https://joinhorizons.com/china-socia..._Credit_System
There seem to be the expected inherent differences based on culture and system of government, but looking at what the scores are meant to accomplish there are a lot of similarities, and like ours, China's system is firmly rooted in ranking financial credit worthiness.Last edited by Seatard; 05-23-2024 at 06:27 PM.

Women are biologically going to vote with whoever promises them a soft cushion where the government will baby them and take care of them, something they used to expect a man to do for them.
Well Jewish feminism changed that. They no longer want a man and family, they want a career and boss girl culture. When they find out how hard financials and independence is, they sink in financial despair. So what do they do? They look for someone to baby them, and who do will do that for them now that they single, in debt, and lonely? The politicians who promise them free ****. The government takes the role of the man in the house.
So how do they vote? They vote for big government. What does big government do? Bankrupt a entire society.
Everyone knows this is true.
