No we shouldn't. A man of principle gives for the act of giving, not for the recognition of others.
Proclaiming how much people "give" is even more vulgar than proclaiming their "networth".
We understand that you found some mixture of christianity and eastern philosophy when you gave yourself over to a higher power in rehab, but just STFU already.Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.
They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

How have you helped others OP? I for example have fostered at risk youths, cooked for (my wife did the bulk of the cooking) and fed the homeless, buying all the ingredients myself. I have mentored multiple young adults and helped them continue their educations and helped them start their careers. Being the Christian that you are, the retired Christian that you are, I'm sure you done as I have and many times more, so lets hear about it. It will be motivation for us all.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

This is an anonymous forum so the real "you" doesn't really get credit. Plus you wouldn't have to mention a dollar amount. Just seems saying something like "I was involved with helping families get groceries today (you could've given money or simply picked out the food in store...who knows) would be way more inspirational that arguing about how much more money you have than someone else.

And you don't think God wants us to encourage fellow believers to see the joys of a transformed heart through acts of kindness and compassion?
Acts 20:35 "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive. '”

I was at the liquor store last week and this old woman who could barely walk was asking people for money and i knew she was gonna ask me. Only reason i gave her a dollar was cause she had her bloody mary mix trying to get enough money for some vodka. I didnt want her to go through DT's and ive had people help me out with when i was going through DT's.
So i might have saved an old womans life. WTF have YOU done OP besides preach on the misc about how your a better Christian than everybody else? Fuk you and get off your high horse you ph@ggot. ded fkn srs ph@ggot

You're arguing with a man who does not work, but has his girlfriend work and pay the bills. Who has a child out of wedlock, and by his own admission feeds her junk food more often than not, whatever's cheap. And who burdens family members when the poor child needs clothing or school supplies.

It's all shyt here has admitted to himself. Of course he tries to spin feeding his daughter McDonald's 3 nights a week as being thrifty for example, but we all know what the truth is.
Then he'll start saying gay shyt because I have normal memory and remember all the weird shyt he admits to.
I assumed they lived together, the way he talks about it, that's how it seemed to me. Guess I was wrong. Also did not know that he only has partial custody. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Just echoing what others said already. Flexing how selfish and wealthy you are is bad, flexing how selfless you are is worse. At least there’s some honesty in the former.
I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.

If he is living off his woman's income, that is pretty messed up, and completely un-Biblical (OP claims to be a Christian)...I understand if your woman makes more, but as a man, especially a Christian man, you should still be providing and working, not sitting around while she does the work.
McD's is just straight poison, maybe once a moth or once every couple weeks as a treat, but never as a meal replacement on the regular
edit-did not see your post Anachron, good he isn't living off his woman
