I have a bench stall and asking here I've been encouraged to move by chin-up accessories from workout days to "grease the groove" method doing half of my maxed tested reps, several times a day on off days at least 45min apart. So I bought this for the office so I can hit chins every hour on off days. This one fits the 38" door frame - the first one I bought was too narrow.

I used a doorway pull up bar for a while and it was fine but keep in mind it's almost certainly going to leave some marks on your door frame. Also, you don't want to do any crossfit style kipping pull ups or inverted hanging that might cause it to dislodge.

I get it guys I really do. Office just can't fit a chin-up/dip station right now. FWIW the door frame is commercial and all metal, it's not going anywhere. The cheapness of the actual pullup bar is the only thing that's flexing, it forces me to go slow enough to not bounce which isn't terrible - I get to work on form! Slow chins are better then no chins.

I was looking to put a stand-alone beside this adjustable height treadmill desk we share but didn't have the room. If other people ask to do chins we will have to figure something else out as I don't want to be responsible for anyone else on the amazon bar - that's for sure.

If you want to upgrade, the Rogue Jammer Bar is what I'd look at but not sure you can install something like that at your office.

    That Jammer looks perfect.
    I will ask the landlord.
I'm using this one still today - every 45 mins or so I do some chins. I've gotten used to it...

    Latest addition to the gym

Ordered on Sunday, the 19th. They shipped it the following Tuesday. It arrived at the local LTL terminal the next Saturday and was delivered this Wednesday. All total: Ten days, seven business days, from order to delivery. Excellent service from Powertec.

    It was very well palleted:

The contents of the two boxes were likewise well-protected from damage:

    Some Assembly Required:

Took me about 3-1/2 hours to assemble, doing it on my own.

I think it's gonna be great. I'm 6'4" (193 cm) tall, with about a 36" (91 cm) inseam. Don't run out of room doing presses.

Speaking of which: I agonized a lot over what leg machine to get. I think I made the right choice. Motion feels very comfortable throughout. I think I'm really going to be able to nail my legs with this.

I can just barely do straight-leg calf raises with the calf block set to its second-highest position, allowing good ankle flexion, and the seat back declined to the last setting. The carriage just tops out at the top of the raise. That's not so much an issue with this newer version of the machine, in any event, because they've reversed the lip on the bottom of the foot plate so you can do them from there, too.

Seems like a very solid machine. Runs very quietly and smooth as buttah Padding on seat and seat back is quite firm, but comfortable.

If I was going to deduct points the only nit I have is the hardware, which has some kind of paint coating rather than being anodized, so you will leave minor tool marks on bolt heads and nuts during assembly--particularly if you fail to read the instructions and have to backtrack and start over once or twice

The instructions are pretty darn good. There are a couple flaws. They instruct you to put together a couple sub-assemblies that actually come already assembled. Plus they have you install one of those, a bolt with a plastic sleeve used to limit the carriage latch travel, early on, when you really need to do that after you've installed the carriage latch assembly, otherwise you can't install the carriage latch assembly due to clearance interference.

I think that about covers it. Yesterday was the last day of my post-surgery weight restrictions, but today's an upper day, so the leg sled gets its first real workout tomorrow.
