Quantum mechanics is pushing 100 years old. There is nothing mystical about it. In fact, it would be strange if we had to reject quantum theory. Then, we'd have to explain how everything we know from chemistry and physics still holds. QM explains phenomena we wouldn't otherwise be able to explain, like why the Rayleigh Jeans law fails at UV, the double slit exoeriment, the violation of Bell's inequalities, and others.
