No. I feel it all the time & I'm extremely sensitive to it. It doesn't make you a "good person", either. If someone else wants to fuking kill me, I want to fuking kill them. If other people hate themselves and I'm around them too long, I start hating myself. People put too much of a positive value judgment on empathy. A little bit is good and necessary but too much will fuk you up.

Empathy is more like a spectrum I think, and you fall somewhere on it and you can probably move it a bit but it’s kinda set.
When I was a kid, I started to notice that whenever I saw someone get badly hurt or in a nasty accident or whatever, I would unconsciously begin nursing the injury on my own body, despite not being injured.
I think stuff like that is a clear sign you’re naturally high empathy.
