Princess Zelda, in the new Zelda games, is VERY similar to a certain Emilia Clarke (the woman who played the dragon princess in Game of Thrones):
1) The braids on top of her head.
2) The thick eyebrows.
3) The surprisingly fat ass.
Game of Thrones reach its peak popularity just before Breath of the Wild was released in 2017, so it's pretty obvious where Zelda's new design comes from.
Before this, Nintendo also copied the birds from the first Avatar movie in Skyward Sword:
Just like in the movie, Link runs and jumps off a cliff to catch a flying bird, and then explore islands floating in the sky.

Zelda in BotW sounds like a really, really bad impersonation of Dany. Between her and the king, I don't think I've ever heard voice acting that terrible in a big budget video game since the original Resident Evil days.
The gameplay is more along the lines of Skyrim or The Witcher, blended with Shadow of the Colossus for good measure.
Maybe if I was younger I'd "GET IT," but IMO BotW was one of the most overrated, boring games I've ever played. I'd rather replay Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 100 times in a row each than even play an hour of BotW.
