For my home gym I was able to find a set of adjustable that are square shaped with a flat head attachment that doesnt dig into thighs. I believe the company is called iron master

This goes up to 135lb and the most I've been able to press them so far is for 7 reps. If i make progress over the summer and reach 12 reps, I will look to buy the add on weight set and shoot for 150s

If you don't feel like watching he says turn them in about 45 degrees then pull them into a deeper stretch at the bottom instead of just touching the dumbbells to the outer part of the chest. I'm gonna try since I can already rep the 125s at my gym.

i thought the deep stretch was the main advantage to using DBs

yeah but often with the bigger dumbbells they hit your chest before you get a huge stretch. I never see anyone do them the way he shows in the video.

This was on old anytime fitness. It was good for one of those gyms until they got new management. I go to an esporta now that has a bunch of old and actually good equipment. Esporta generally does suck though. Unfortunately no hardcore gyms in my area that I'm aware of.

125s, but no one else really uses them... and most of the time people use 100+ dbs they pick them up one at a time and roll them...
sucks how the heavier dbs have extra girth on the handles, I feel like my grip is giving out before the actual muscle I'm trying to train. Have to use straps to DB row the 125's even though I end up doing around 10 reps

weird the first ones near me to get turf were the heavier gyms geared towards strongman and powerlifting, but I do see a lot of more traditional ones getting it

A lot of the commercial gyms now have the turf area but no farmers handles or yokes. I don't get it.

I've never been a big user of dumbbells. I've had a home gym for the last 3 years and don't have any dumbbells at all.

Bump. I tried this technique today. Did the 125s for 10 normally then did this way with 100s and got 10 only. Felt good. Would recommend.

My gym goes up to 120 lb dumbells. I stick to barbell bench press, no dumbell press for me
