I got the BWTG VHS bar all set up inside the rack and it feels pretty comfortable doing OHPs inside of the bar as intended with both the angled and neutral grips, also curls and standing overhead triceps exts feel good with this bar. The knurling feels nice and has a good bite for this bar and the thicker 2" diameter is welcomed alternative to the regular OD handles on my Reps Direct FBB and the matte clear coat looks and feels awesome...perhaps the only con would be that this bar weighs less than the standard 45 lb bars so I'll have figure on the plate math a bit, while I was at it I went with the 2" fat lat bar knurled in matte clear coat too.

Question for the crew, I have one of those floor scales that only pick up the weight when both feet are standing on it and probably won't register the bar's weight on it, I also have one of those luggage scales, would that suffice for weighing my new bar? (Figure I'd try to get a reading on it to know close to what I'm lifting with it).▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #80 ▪█─────█▪

Ah duh DVO I'm all hopped up on Christmas cookies...I weighed the bar standing on the scale then subtracted it after reading this, the bar weighs 37 lbs so a bit of varied plate math required.
Edit: I'll throw this in here while I'm at it...index chin attachment from Mech installed on the front porch...

Bump.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

On preorder until it officially drops in the upcoming months, I went with the VTS from Bulletproof Fitness for my rack.

They also have a Lite version available for preorder too.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #80 ▪█─────█▪

Thanks! What sold me on the regular VTS version was the unilateral smith capability as well as using a variety of different sized specialty bars that I already own to use on the system, also some of their future attachments for it sound promising. I'll definitely post some feedback on them when I get them (so far they're slated for possibly the end of May).

Yeah, I'm sold on it as well. Only thing stopping me is that I just bought a house recently and I'm broke, lol. Still hoping to pick it up at some point. I'm really curious to see what other kinds of things they might tie into this system, because it seems very clear that they have a bigger vision for this thing than just a smith machine (which is already awesome just on its own). Been really impressed by the company overall.

Congrats on the house and I hear you on that, they're not a cheap piece by any means. One of the first accessory attachments I see that looks interesting on their page are the high/low cables that attach to the VTS, I don't own, nor have space for a functional trainer and it looks like a good solution...curious how much minimum height is required for them and if they would cause potential interference off the front uprights for other things, definitely going to do some detective work on those if I'm potentially ready to buy them at some point.

Thanks! Just seen this message and yes on a half rack I could see there being potential problems with setting it up. I'm particularly interested in seeing how inclines with both the iso handles and the Kadillac Bar perform on the VTS, the Marrs Bar for front squats, or lunges might be fun to try as well.

Who wants to try one of these out so I can know if they're crap or not? I already lucked out with the cheap Wallyworld leg press and hip thrust, so I figure I'm due to get burned.

That's one plus to my Jam'n squat - only about 4.5' long by 32" wide. Not adjustable and can only squat facing the machine, though. Watching some of the Amazon videos for the V Squat it looks like the footplate has a decent amount of play it it, too, before he even unloads the weight.

Looking at the assembly video it's hard to see how that plate could have that much wobble, unless the tolerances on that hardware are really sloppy.
It looks like that plate adjustment is a combo pop-pin/screw-tightening thingamajig. I wonder if he just didn't tighten that? I know my Body-Solid back hyper bench is a lot sloppier if I don't.

FYI, Rogue has most of their boneyard bars for $150 right now:

Don't really want to acquire another machine, but I'm not getting the kind of leg development I'd like to see out of squats and TBDLs and I've two people possibly interested in my rower. So I may just sell the rower--which I've hardly used since acquiring the assault bike, do-away with the bar that serves for little more than to collect clutter, and be the forum Guinea pig for that Syedee V-Squat machine.

Cool looking machine. I'd be interested in your or anyone's findings. I'm also 6'3" so I'm real hesitant to buy anything without someone I trust sizing it up. Kind of like Body Solid - companies seem to use smaller models to made an undersized machine look like a full scale commercial size machine. We've run into this on lat pull downs here before. Some really nice pro-sumer models can't accommodate larger people the same way a standard commercial unit can. I don't have room but I can relocate some cardio stuff for the right piece.

Being 6'4" tall: This is a concern for me, too. I have read the Body-Solid GLPH1100 hack squat/leg press machine is suitable for taller people. The way that Syedee V-Squat machine works I can't see how it could possibly not accommodate my height? So, if I get a leg machine, that and the Syedee V-Press are currently the two in contention.
