Attention travelers
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

They put China at #5, and I have to say, they have great food at an incredible price. We went to a pretty high-end restaurant in Hangzhou with 13 people and ate the best food on the menu. Total price for the entire table? About 70- ish dollars.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

If you follow the link in the (terrible site, stop using their clickbait BS) Daily Mail article they are actually linking to a review of dishes. So it is ranking Italian food dishes against Portuguese food dishes (or whatever) not food actually eaten in Italy versus food eaten in Portugal etc.
"100 Best Cuisines in the World Based on 395,205 (271,819 valid) dish ratings, and 115,660 (80,863 valid) food product ratings, these cuisines have recorded the best average ratings for their respective top 50 highest-rated dishes and food products. If two cuisines have the same average rating, the one with the highest-rated dish..."is ranked higher."

I can't eat msg, it goes through me faster than sh!t through a goose..
I may as well eat whatever has msg in it on the toilet. I always ask if their products has msg in it and tell them, don't lie, because I will know before I leave the restaurant

The daily mail UK may be considered trash there, but is a fresh look away from the *bad news format* of US news publications; so no, i won't stop because i need a balance of positive and negative news. That site provides that and insights into topics that we don't get or know about here in the USA, more comprehensive info.
My thread was more about people who have traveled and their tastes, because i have only been to Belgium and France. I am certain that others have sampled more foods around the globe than me and have opinions to share regarding their favs.

I lived in the Indian subcontinent for a couple years and worked in India and Sri Lanka (India lite) on a few occasions. India and Sri Lanka are the best. Homes, street food, expensive restaurants, cheap restaurants, college cafeteria... it's all awesome. Every time I have Indian food I wonder why they even make other food.
Worked in Hanoi Vietnam one summer. Once I figured out what I liked, it was great.
Central America is okay, about what you'd expect. South America is bland, but I haven't been to Argentina, which I hear legendary tales of the meat there.
Spent a couple weeks at a meeting on the coast of Italy. Dinners were elaborate three hour affairs. Pretty much just were served squid and pasta every night. American Italian food is a good default, everybody likes Italian food, but it's not the top of my list. Haven't done much Italian fine dining (or any other fine dining), so don't know about that.
Other places I've been the food has not been memorable, but everywhere they can make you a special meal that is quite nice.
Not much experience with Japanese food. For Chinese I've only had cheap American Chinese food, which I do like.
I like Greek food a lot. That's my youngest daughter's favorite and I don't resist if she wants to order Greek food.
We order out rarely and go out close to never. Not sure why. I think we just like our own stuff.
If my wife and I do go out or order in, Thai food is the most common. A good Thai curry is delicious. If it's me and my oldest daughter, it's almost always Indian.

I'd sooner not put that sh!t in my body
Much less take drugs to combat it, be it preventive or otherwise to just to shove a few processed chicken balls down my neck.
I'd sooner just eat real food with real ingredients and not develop the skill of being able sh!t through a screen for the next few days.

We were hunting doves around feed lots. 500 to 1000 acre feed lots. They cooked the food and served it next to the feed lots.

There are many but they are closely guarded secrets, so lets keep these between us and don't tell anyone.
Seal Flipper Pie is a traditional Eastern Canadian meat pie made from seal flippers. It is similar to a pot pie in that the seal flippers are cooked with vegetables in a thick sauce and then covered with pastry.
Tourtiere is a French Canadian meat pie dish originating from the province of Quebec, usually made with minced pork, veal or beef and potatoes.
Nova Scotial Lobster Rolls
There are many other mouthwatering recipes but you will have to be met somewhere, driven to an undisclosed location while wearing a blindfold.
From there you will be given some great groceries but not told their name. You will then be driven back to your 747 and you can return home with a full belly.
Lets not forget about, Montreal Smoked meat and Montreal Steak spice, the best spice on the planet.𝓐𝓲𝓻 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓬𝓮 𝓥𝓮𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓷 1976 - 1999 - 𝓒𝓪𝓷𝓷𝓪𝓫𝓲𝓼 𝓔𝓷𝓽𝓱𝓾𝓼𝓲𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓼𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 1960'𝓼

I had flipper pie once, it was a bit like a mix of beef pot pie and what a nosebleed might taste like. Weird. I didn't find the meat fishy, though it was a bit gamey and very dark in color. I'd eat it again, but if I never ate it again, I wouldn't be upset either.
