No crazy introduction, I just started a new job that is fairly sedentary and has a lot of snacks laying around, and so while I have been doing a fair amount of running (around 10-15 miles a week), I've put on a lot of fat. Using this as a way to keep my diet in check and to also prepare for my first 10K.
From a diet perspective, really trying to cut out most sugar/carbs. The exception being potatoes, I think they are pretty nutritious and filling. My cravings come from pizza, fast food (think Taco Bell $2 burritos) and candy (thankfully never got hooked on soda), which are pretty carb heavy, so I want to eliminate that.
