Are you guys seeing this in your area?
So i do my normal 2 visits per week to 2 stores and the shelves looked like a communist country in the 80's.
Missing produce, no cold teas, no shredded cheese, no milk, wiped out meat case(zero chicken) some beef and lamb, no seafood except for scallops, and various other sections with nada.
It looks like a high carb week until they restock, oh boy!

Yup, definitely bad even in the commissary on post. Big time supply chain issues.

Have not seen Pad Thai noodles on our shelves in over a year on any grocery store around, not sure what that is all about.
All the stores are fully stocked, prices are off the hook though on anything reasonably fresh or healthy
Started growing lettuce indoors, and we are planning on expanding our vegetable garden this year, less useless ornamental stuff and more veggies. If it keeps getting worse we will add goats and chickens .Please record my time/reps if I pass out

This is not a rumor - China has been massively stockpiling food.

Well i am in the DC area and have called and travelled to different areas nearby to try and load up.
This started after the I-95 VA snow storm and has continued since then or about a week.
The major problem is that when listening in to the grocery manager at the local Giant, he was complaining to his coworker about what is ordered from the warehouse and what is on the actual truck.
The conversation sounded kinda pathetic, so i may need to drive to Philly since my family told me that there are no issues there.......yet.
Stay tuned. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Here is what I have found: 'China's fear of food shortages caused by COVID; a more general fear of famine, which has afflicted China throughout its history; declining agricultural productivity, due to factors like urbanization; and a strong currency that makes it easier to import.'
Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Only certain items luckily, none of the main staples of my diet. I have always done all the shopping at my household and always elected to go at off times/hours to avoid it being busy (even pre-pandemic). Now it seems places are much busier at those times (say a Wednesday at 1:00pm) than on an evening around 6:00. Nobody works anymore.

I read your earlier post when I asked why. I agree with your thoughts. I also agree that China's actions are less global goodness related than they are geared towards government enforced nationalism and self advancement.
