I just hope our new CCP overlords still allow me to have sex and play pickleball since thats pretty much all I care about anymore.
I am now contemplating which high risk activities I can take up that have a significant chance of death/and or will shorten my lifespan measurably. A man needs hobbies. For every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

Globalism and the advent of tech has people too woke.
It was fine when little Samantha felt empathy for third world countries and felt blessed to be where she is.
But now there is a populist revolution that allows people to harbour their anger and direct their frustrations onto the powers at be.
Turn on any news channel, it's literally bullschit actors reading scripts and being conformists.
People and the creators of pop culture are still following the same script that's gone stale pre 2015.
We're taught Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs early in our youth and now the pursuit of self-actualization has a lot of people wondering about morality and asking why's and why not's.
Basically we are living in a lost world.

I actually think it's justified this time though.
At some point things do in fact peak and get worse. Look at how obesity and mental health issues have exploded over the last decade. More and more high school kids are "gender confused" as well. Raised by single parents in broken families. The world is pretty much a sh*t show and OP has a point.
In b4 age 34"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

TLDR; The wealthy elite and corruption.
Pure capitalism bookended by laws to protect the environment and monopolies/oligopolies is by far the best economic system in history.
Unfortunately we have an extremely perverse system of capitalism that promotes cheating, exploitation, and corruption. We're really not any better than the communist regime in China.
How many laws are created to prevent competition? We have some of the worst patent laws on the planet. There are also gatekeeper regulations that serve no other purpose than to prevent competition for the big boys.
Why does the Fed constantly act in the best interest of the wealthy at the expense of the middle class?
The wealthy keep us fighting amongst ourselves. Race issues, SJW issues, etc are nothing more than things the elite push to keep us fighting amongst ourselves and not discovering the real issue: Them.
Not sure why, but a lot of people think taxation on the rich is the answer, like somehow that money will be redistributed. Hint: It wouldn't be. Taxation is another tool the wealthy use to transfer wealth to themselves. Think about where most government spending goes. It doesn't go to welfare, that's for sure. Welfare exists only to promote the government. It's an excuse to tax and also keeps the plebs from revolting. Just LOL@any ******* that thinks otherwise.
Want to fix the solution? Burn the elite class down to the ground. If we don't, we're going to end up a serfdom. srs.Misc Entrepreneur Crew

People love to destroy, to vandalise and to attack each other in blogs and comments.
The only way out is to invest, to be creative, to care, to help.

Dude, don't be an idiot, I wrote a F@CKING EXAMPLE in about a paragraph to illustrate the point.
I am not writing governmental policy on the misc, it's an example.
In addition, you don't know a f@cking thing about the topic or else you and others would already know what you are talking about and what I am.
What was tried is called "Lennism" not Marxism, so go get a F@cking education before you speak. If you want to ask me a question:

That's a moronic response and again, you're another person who doesn't know anything about what you're talking about.
Capitalism is supposed to create near full employment and wealth distribution to all the people from the top down due to constant investment in everyone. So, it's also "communist" in that everyone in the community is selling a service.
That doesn't even remotely exist and no one gives a f@ck about "patents" and your bullish!t because that's not running a civilization. If you want to ask me a question:

That is not communism and people who are "twatwaffles" don't read books and talk about politics they don't understand and don't care too.
This is why America sucks and is in the toilet.
America is a bunch of "douche" dudes who never read a book and yet think they know things. If you want to ask me a question:

Everything is not getting worse really, 50-200 years ago we always had wars, major diseases same like COVID were around, absolute monarchy was strong and cruel and brutal sometimes.
Earth was having amazing times in the last 40 years or so, new major inventions were regular, people started to travel lot more, knew there was too much to explore, sports were celebrated highly, hollywood/music/brands/fashion/food culture/video games were always exciting, internet was new. Then came the era of smartphones (its not like the smartphones did it), but from there (2010) eventually everything started to peak out, everything cool became stale, people became more selfish, agressive, arrogant, rude, less patient and stopped caring about each other, everyone became each others silent enemy. Then came the economic recession followed by the COVID crisis which was the final nail in the coffin, now people don't know how to act and what to do in life anymore, they are always hopeless, seems like making money and partying is their final goal, but that seems like a forced lifestyle now.
Seems like a major event or a major technological advancement is near which will completely alter human way of thinking and living and maybe erase all their pains once and for all and take them to a new dimension perhaps.

The market hasn’t been free for a long time. Unemployment was near 0 in the beginning up until about 1900. If you track the trends of unemployment, you can see that it shoots up with government interference. It all started around 1900, when post modernists and liberals started taking over. It really went to **** when they started using Keynesian economics, added the new deal, tariffs, when unemployment went from 10% to 25% and caused the Great Depression. Then, when the welfare state was implemented, unemployment spiked again and we lost our political freedom and the rest of the free market. Those are anything BUT free market ideals.
The free market was a reality and was realized. The invisible hand is proven on a daily basis too. The concepts of Adam Smith are quite difficult to grasp though. I don’t expect everyone to get it, even if they have read his works.
You read a lot about philosophy, but you fail to have much of a knowledge of economic concepts, facts, and history. Otherwise, you would have known everything I just posted and would have known that the fundamentals of Adam Smith’s theories were proven to be true. One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.

Um, weird mash up of events there.
In the period from 1946 to 1976 classical ideas were replaced by a new theory, Keynesian economics. From 1976 through to 2008 classical economics once more gained the upper hand. The First New Deal (1933–1934) dealt with the pressing banking crises through the Emergency Banking Act and the 1933 Banking Act. ... The Securities Act of 1933 was enacted to prevent a repeated stock market crash. The controversial work of the National Recovery Administration (NRA) was also part of the First New Deal. However, most scholars today agree postmodernism began to compete with modernism in the late 1950s and gained ascendancy over it in the 1960s.
Pretty decent write up on what caused the Great Depression:
- reduced demand for durable goods
- those purchasing durable good mainly were using credit/installment plans (1920s easy money, high consumer debt)
- housing was "over built" by 25%; not enough buyers
- drought hit overextended farmers/debt for capital investment
- other countries were in poor financial condition
- stock market bubble
In 1929, stock share prices were running higher than their historical average in relation to how much companies were actually earning (price-earnings, or P/E ratios, above). Corruption increased the market’s instability. Small groups of wealthy men “painted the tape,” driving up prices artificially by buying themselves, only to sell at high profits after other “suckers” bought into the rally. Pool operators could make money virtually at will in pump and dumps, to use the modern phrase for manipulating small-cap stocks by hyping them and selling before the price drops back down.
People knew what was going on and that the players paid off newspapers to print news about companies, but small investors still hoped to ride the prices up themselves and not be the ones left holding the “chop stock” in the sell-off. The impact of pool operators on small investors wasn’t so much negative as random. It was like a game of musical chairs; as long as you had a chair each time the music stopped (had already sold your shares), it didn’t matter that it was just a game.Last edited by katya422; 04-06-2021 at 09:08 PM.
