I've never seen of handled one and the only person I've known that did own one accidently shot himself in the foot and died later from complications.

I've never seen of handled one and the only person I've known that did own one accidently shot himself in the foot and died later from complications.

I love you Clive but this is why Brits can't have nice things. Everyone in my area is armed to the teeth and the only "accidental shootings" are to the head. In reality the guy just committed suicide and it turns into a "cleaning the gun" accident so the family can collect life insurance. I still can't fathom how someone accidentally shoots themselves. I've been handling guns for 30 years, drunk/other forms of intoxicated a lot of the time, and have never even had an accidental discharge much less an accidental discharge into myself and/or somebody else

This. In the South, suicides were called "hunting accidents"

Anyway, I have young children so no guns in the house for now. When they get old enough and they show interest I will take them hunting.

As for Australia, it has the exact same rot as all the other western countries. The last time I was there the Chinese were buying up all the real estate and the govmt was allowing all kinds of immigration in large numbers. I am sure the citizens were thrilled to death about that.
