I have the hard drive, so perhaps if there is someone reputable, I'll see if it can be recovered. Though it could have been months between I deleted it and noticed it. Its likely the partition it sat on has been re-written making it irretreivable.

Fortunately thats not true unless you did a bit-by-bit deletion. Partitions just allocated memory, so its entirely possible a different section of the hdd was allocated and the deleted data is still there. Id definitely give it a shot
