I've got a 120 year old carriage barn and the foundation failed on one side so it's sagging. The sill rotted mostly away on that side due to poor drainage. I'm hand excavating under that side and putting bottle jacks under the existing vertical true 2x4's that make up that wall, also sistering them with 2x4's. I'm screwing doubled horizontal 2x4's halfway up and near the roof that are gonna stick out about 4 inches from the front and rear of the barn. I'm sinking rebar into an underground concrete pier I'm making at the front and back on the good side in order to connect a come along in the front and rear to attach cables to the 2x4's I screwed into that bad side. I think I have a handle on the jacking and rigging/pulling but I'm not sure what to do about the rotten sill when I get it level and somewhat plumb. At that point I'll have a bunch of jacks and blocks in the way and can't properly replace the sill, so I'm considering just making concrete piers to replace the jacks one at a time. Then dealing with the drainage issue. I've already installed rack bracing to keep the bad wall together and am installing 3 cables with comealongs in the upstairs to keep the walls the same distance from each other and so it doesn't split in half. Barn is 32 feet long, 20 feet wide and about 30 feet high. I've never worked with concrete alone but do have experience working with come alongs to square steel buildings up for welding into place.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Working hard. Life as usual. Almost finishing up my mustang after two years. Have not posted on the misc in a while. Was working from home for months but we are back at the office now. Here in Houston we have a lot of Oil and Gas companies and most of them are claiming they will work from home indefinitely. Its strange seeing all the empty parking lots. Plus side is that larger houses like mine have gone up a lot in value since people need larger houses to work from home.
Im also a tub of fat lard now.Bench - 375
