Chewing Gum While Cutting

I recently found that gum is amazing for suppressing my appetite. When I woke up this morning, I wasn’t starving. Chewed a couple pieces of gum for Ann hour or two and now I’m fine. It’s noon and I haven’t eaten anything yet.

They’re essentially calorie-free (like 5 or 10 cals), so I can’t think of any downside. Wanted to check that there’s no real adverse effect on fat loss. It makes me feel bloated, sure, but I don’t see why that would matter for cutting.

Do other people here chew gum a lot while cutting?

I'm a gum addict man. Cutting and Bulking lol.

Fun fact: Chewing generally burns around 11 cal/hr. Although insignificant in the short term, chew gum all day and in a year it may have been beneficial for you lol

Same. I have to refresh every 45mins or so ha. I've gotten so bad I've started buying trident in bulk quantities.

Lol I go to target and get three packs ... and I’ve gotten in the habit of chewing 2-3 at a time .. well I guess is better than smoking

Lol absolutely. What I do is add a piece every 45 mins. By the end of the day I look like an idiot with a mouthful of gum.

Other than increased gas/bloating, I don't foresee any significant downsides to chewing gum. Now if you are going through several packs a day that may expose you to a decent amount of artificial sweeteners; I'd have to look up exactly how much and then try to determine if this seemed worrisome and I don't have the time to do that now but that's a potential concern.

I chew probably 2 packs a day once i get sub 10%bf, but I have to chew 3 pieces at a time. However some days like once or twice a month I will get really bad intestinal distress, probably due to the sorbitol in the gum that is pulling water into the colon

Yeah, the amount of gum I go through in any given week is something. Value packs at Wal-Mart. You're welcome.

For Sweet/Fruity I chew Extra Sweet Watermelon, Trident Tropical Twist
For Minty I chew 5 gum Spearmint

mentos is my fav for quite some time now, big gum, good chew, lasts for few hours easily, nice flavor

I also found that the first-thing hunger I get when I wake up is easily subdued by him. Helps me delay eating my first thing and save some cals for later in the day

I'm late to the recommendations but Strawberry Island Lime Trident is my go-to. Can only find it in a few gas stations though.
