The card they used can be found for wayyyyy under $2k. It'll probably be under a thousand by the time the game is released if it does come out later this year.
Not to mention its probably overkill. I'm not aware of a game that has ever required a ~$1,000 graphics card to play on max settings upon official release, but maybe I'm wrong.

03-27-2019, 01:24 PM #40It Sounds Like Cyberpunk 2077 Is Probably Coming to PS5 as Cross-Gen Speculation Continues
Kind of figured they would release it on PS4 then do a "remastered" release for PS5.
I suspect that's what Naughty Dog is going to do for TLOU2 as well. That has to be why they keep pushing back more info/release date, etc. Why note make double the $ on one title I guess....
If that's what CDPR is doing with Cyberpunk, I'm just going to wait until the PS5 release and play it on PS5. So they're not going to get my $ twice. Not that I don't think the game is worth it, but I'd rather experience the PS5 graphics the very first time I ever play it.

I wouldn't wait. From the looks of things, they very well deserve the money on release day. With thinking like this they won't be rewarded for the hard grind they put in. On top of that you're going to have to avoid any potential spoilers, builds, etc. Buy the game on Ps4. Then do multiple replays on PS5. No big deal.
I had The Last of Us on PS3, got it on PS4, no regrets. Will do the same with The Last of us 2Last edited by MikeLowrrrey; 03-27-2019 at 01:59 PM.

I just know I'm not going to play through a game two times. No matter how much I like a game, once I beat it, I'm done with it aside from online content. Knowing that I am that way, I'd rather just experience it in what will be far better graphics on the PS5.
The reality is that this game is not going to look as nice as that play through on a PS4. There's just no way. At least not in 4K for sure.

04-02-2019, 12:52 PM #46CYBERPUNK 2077 HAS NO GAME OVER SCREENS FOR FAILING A MISSION
According to CD Projekt Red’s quest designer Philipp Webber, who recently spoke with German website GameStar, the development team approached mission design with an overarching question: "What is the stupidest thing that the player could do?". With this philosophy in mind, quests have been designed to allow all kinds of player behaviour, ensuring that the game never fails players for engaging in unconventional activities.
For example, Webber suggests that while protecting an important client, there is nothing stopping you from calling in at a restaurant for a burger. If the client dies while you’re getting your fill of food, then the game continues on. Just because you failed the job doesn’t mean you failed the game.Last edited by R3L3NTL3SS; 04-02-2019 at 01:20 PM.

Dayumn this game is going to have some serious fuking detail.
Part of making a great cyberpunk-themed city is nailing the invasive advertisements that litter buildings, streets, and the skyline. And for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red is taking the responsibility of designing in-game ads very seriously. In fact, the Polish studio is taking in-game ads so seriously that it's hiring for an illustrator who will solely do this: create futuristic ads. That's right, if you've doubted CD Projekt Red's commitment to the cyberpunk sub-genre in the past, this should put to bed any worries.
Recently, the Poland-based developer went up with a new job listing looking for an "In-game Ads Illustrator," a position you probably only need filled when you're making a cyberpunk game. Interestingly, the position isn't even part-time or temporary, but a full-time spot, suggesting there's a lot of in-game ads still to make.Last edited by R3L3NTL3SS; 04-15-2019 at 10:39 AM.

**Amazon accepting pre orders for Dec 31!** https://www.amazon.com/Cyberpunk-207...gateway&sr=8-1
CDPR still says in a tweet "The only release date is....when it's ready."
But I doubt Amazon pulled that random date out of thin air. What say you all?!?!?!?!

Pic came out low res, but this is the laptop I will probably buy once they announce a release; killed some OT at work so I have the money set aside for it, might add more to it depending on how much more OT I do before then too. 0 fcks given.

Most things you buy in life depreciate the instant you get it; I will get at least 5-6 years out of it, so not concerned. I just put ~$200 away each month when I buy a new system so by the time I upgrade it's covered; current system is a little under 3 years, so it's almost time since the warranty expires then too. This does cost more than I'd expected so that's why I did the over time, I wont dip into my actual savings to buy it.
