Roughly 8 years in the making. Still no official release date but it seems like it will be 2019/2020.
By all means, every shred of hype surrounding this game looks to be real. Trailers look absolutely beautiful for it as do the early game play vids.

I only preorder games from developers/ips that have a 100% success rate (to me)
Bought mass effect 1 after reviews -> preordered 2 -> preordered 3 -> didn't preorder/buy andromeda because 3 was trash
Bought bf3 -> preordered bf1 -> didn't preorder/buy bf5 because bf1 was trash
Bought zelda -> preorder the next zelda -> repeat until it comes out with a bad game
Bought witcher 1 -> preorded 2 -> preordered 3 -> taking the chance on cyberpunk due to the growing excellence throughout witcher 1,2,3MS, Computer Science
Feel free to PM me CS questions

For me it doesnt have much at all to do with the cyberpunk thing. This game has so much going for it.
- graphically looks fuking beautiful
- game play features, etc sound really bad ass from what we see in the 48 minute play through
- absolutely MASSIVE open world city which in itself sounds so much more fun and interesting than EVERY other boring ass post apocalyptic open world, run down bs. I mean nevermind questing, who knows what kind of shenanigans you'll be able to get into in this gigantic city? I get the idea that this game will have a TON of playability that will give people a ton of fun for their measly $60.
List goes on. This game deserves all the hype it has behind it I think.

This'll be a preorder as soon as it is available. One further ask I'll have though is that they push for very high graphic boundaries. I get that developers want 'mass appeal' to sell as many copies as possible but I want to be able to push it to an extreme on PC, just like I did with the Witcher 3.
I only mention that because it seems fairly common these days to note graphical downgrades happening between the promo material and the actual game release. And this genre in particular could be incredibly taxing (graphically). Especially all of the 'side behavior' they want to make sure is going on while you walk around in the city etc.

the best part about Witcher was its ancient mythology type fantastical history that was an alpha and stark contrast to the beta entitled degenerate generation of today. Just being in that world felt like a relief. a delicious fantasy of a world gone by. on oasis for the weakness of today
Complete opposite of the cyberpunk setting which is just reminding you of the degenerate society we live in today and how its gonna get worse in the future.
just not as cool to me, like I said before, I predict the game will be underwhelming for the hype it has.

I mean, aside from being a game developed by a company monopolizing of sorts wasn't it supposed to be somewhat of a cult following atmosphere? Completely wrecks that whole idea imo, it'll do fine in marketing regardless pretty much a GTA but based on the cyber-punk games of the 80s-90s
edit: looking to play this on PC when it comes out, have no idea on specs though. For the demo they were using a $2k graphics card.
