Just out of curiosity, why aren't those Elite Competition style bumpers on the list, are they newer than the cutoff for this list?

Also, what is the market like for those? Are they less desirable because they're not vintage?

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

    current bumper list

    i have 2 70s 25kg bumpers (id like to trade these for 2 25kg 80s bumpers)

    4 25kg 80s bumpers
    6 20kg 80s bumpers
    4 15kg 80s bumpers

2 5lb oversized rubber bumpers (was going to sell these when i sold my troys but i could only find 1. found the other the other day so they are still here lol)

also 2 1.1kg eleiko white urethane plates for use with bumpers

    i have 30 10s, 30 5s, and 20 2.5lb vintage york change plates.

    i also have 2 5lb and 2 10lb cff training plates.

i guess i will have to stumble upon the 45kg 80s bumpers to complete my set.

i did have the metal 10 5 and 2.75kg plates but i traded them. id rather just use all rubber edged plates.

The Kg plates on the bottom of the ad are from the 1970's, but the description is of the 1980's era bumpers.

Both milled. My 5s must be multiplying. I seem to already have 6 on each side. Now I’ve got 20 fives, looks like 7 are milled.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Great video. Thanks for posting. I could not believe how long they made the lifters hold the bar before they could lower it.

And it looks like shipwheels to me, too.

Glad you enjoyed it! Traditionally, you have to get the bar overhead and stop moving/get under control before the down command. You should see Alexeev's 255kg/561lb Clean & Jerk at the 76' Olympics in Montreal: took him forever to get under control!!

York knowledge waits for no man! But you know that...

We've long believed that the switch over was in 1967. It's not surprising to see "modern" era 20 Kg plates in use, even if they have the small "g." Good find, brother. I have begun my long awaited crawl through vintage Muscular Development to see what I can learn. This reminds me, we need to crowd fund you a scanner! Lol.
