He was getting the Trump treatment by the media, albeit on a lesser extent, when he was up against Obama. But ever since last July and his defiance to the GOP it was clear he would be heavily celebrated once his health began deteriorating
I never had anything against him though, mostly indifferent
But the media has been historically interesting the last 5-6 years. What a time to be alive. Snail news trying to contend with the social media era

2008, these same people on the left were calling him a racist. But also, that same group in 2012 said having "binders full of women" that can be hired for jobs was sexist. They thought they had issues back then LOL.
He seemed to have won the left over in the end by being as anti-Trump as them. He stood for a lot that was against the core of the Democratic party, but they seemed to overlook that in the last couple years.
Agreed. We always get good engagement and its much better than the R&P section.

Americans should be ashamed of their politics. Trudeau is an embarrassing goober but at least Trump and idiots like Palin don't sniff power.
Anyone remotely similar doesn't end up in politics very long. Maybe there are too many idiots in the states for the long standing tradition of snake oil salesmen to go away.

Trudeau and Trump are both awful in their own unique ways. Both have lost respect (if they had it to begin with) in two totally different ways.
But as an American, I also don't want Pence either. But just watch, Pence goes into office and our Democrats are just as hysterical about him as they were Trump.
Shame the Bruins really fukked up with him. He'd be great to have back on the team.
I wouldn't put it past Toronto fans to think this.

It's hilarious to read the Misc and see 95% of the forum slob all over Trumps knob. Yet anyone else who looked as remotely unhealthy as him and acted as butt hurt as he has over criticism would be called a "neck beard *******" and harassed relentlessly if they came and posted here. I'm not a fan, I don't think he is as destructive as the loud minority makes him out to be but he truly sounds like a an old man who is losing his mind and it's simply embarrassing IMO.
Can't say I know much about Trudeau besides he seems to bend to appease the loud minorities in public, so the complete opposite of Trump.Workout Journal, Currently back to Fierce 5 Novice: http://tinyurl.com/qgwrlkg

I’m a grown ass man, it doesn't bother me if our president is brash, blabbers, or offends
I care about the economy and economic policy, and that’s about it. Trump is leagues better than that Keynesian dunce that was Obama, or any BA and law school hack career politician for that matter
You seriously have to be a sensitive little bitch to care about what he says on Twitter

What makes Trump better than Obama when it comes to economics? I am far from even a novice on this topic but I would love to hear what makes either one of them better or worse than the other.
Guess I am a "sensitive little bitch" because I just find his behavior embarrassing.Workout Journal, Currently back to Fierce 5 Novice: http://tinyurl.com/qgwrlkg

Trump inherited a very strong economy and has kept it going he hasnt actually done much. People look at the stock market and think that means the economy is doing well but it doesnt really work that way. You have to look at the underlying metrics. Mortgage rates have been declining and yet new mortgage applications are also declining. Wage growth has largely been stagnant. The national deficit is ballooning, it was less than $700B a year ago and projections are over $1T. Every few days another company announces they are closing or sending jobs oversees bc of the tariffs. Consumer DTI is approaching all time highs due to unsecured debt. The amount of people underemployed is growing. Pretty much every metric that benefits the working class is negative, but at least the wealthy are doing well in the stock market as the top 10% own 84% of all shares.
Trump is a very good marketer but that is the extent of his business abilities. He has convinces a large segment of the population to believe everything he says while ignoring the walls closing in around them. As Trump said he loves the poorly educated.
Anyone can make a good economy look good and the easiest way to keep the economy going is by increasing government spending, its great short term. In the long run its more problems, but people only look at today and ignore tomorrow.Blues Hockey is life! I live for pain and disappointment.
