just finished dling it on my second ps4
mybodyissofknready.jpg
breh, just preorder/preload it. brb wasting time running out to the nearest gamestop when you could be playing it the second it unlocks
hehe
let's get a PS4 monhun misc crew going
i've only played PSO2 and PSNova, but the only similarities are the coop and hunting large monsters. MH's combat is more methodical and there's more things you can do (fish, catch bugs, mine, etc.), which are all for the sake of crafting armors/weapons/items. also, there's no loot in the sense of weapon drops (like in phantasy star). the loot in this game is the materials you gather or parts you break off monsters, then you take those materials and craft weapons/armors with them.
get it on ps4 then get the PC version when it comes out
hehpm me ur pics and ill rep u haha jk no homo lol haha no but srsly pls pm me ur pics haha just glutes and maybe face haha no homo again lol just kidding kinda not rly lol pls send them

kinda, not really. you craft everything. it's not like d2/d3 where you find a piece of armor or weapon and it's an "upgrade"
you can mix and matach armor sets to get benefits and buffs of whichever sets you like. or you can complete a set and look cool
you craft them using monsters parts.
it's not like a regular action game where you can just rush in and kill the enemy because a lot of moves have high recovery. there's a lot of timing and knowing the monster's attacks, when to dodge etc. think of a dark souls that's mix with action games and more loot driven
i disagree. dont get me wrong it's pretty fun but way better solo imo. group is way easier and faster for gathering loot but i prefer the challenge and gameplay of a 1v1 battle. when you get a group it becomes a cake walk. someti,esLast edited by Hardcore_D00d; 01-25-2018 at 02:50 PM.

Brahs help a complete monster hunter noob out. Never played before but all these videos look really cool. What’s a good noob friendly weapon? From what I’ve seen, I’m think I would try either the sword/shield or the dual swords.

Went to gamestop but they didn’t have the collectors edition so I just came home and bought it on my PS4. It should be loaded up by now and will play at midnight if I can stay awake if not I’ll play in the morning.

honestly, i'd say try each weapon out and see which one fits your playstyle.
SnS is a great all-around beginner weapon tho. not sure if they changed it in this one (i didnt have time to try the betas and havent been reading up on any info), but with SnS, you can actually use items without having to sheath your weapon, so it's super noob-friendly -- especially since you'll be using a lot of health pots and rations early on
but yeah, try each weapon out and see which one's the most fun to use for you. each weapon can take hours upon hours to master, so it's worth trying them all out anyway hehe

Played the beta last weekend and it just seemed kinda boring, like there was no strategy you just found the monster and everyone did their own thing hacking away. Are the higher up monsters in the full game going to be harder and require certain strategies and gear?
Is the point to just go up the ladder 1 by 1 killing each monster a few times to craft its gear and then move on?
I kinda want to get into the game because the premise sounds cool, I just wasn’t sold off the beta.☻/

yup. that's the gameplay loop
kill monsters to get materials
use materials to craft gear
kill stronger monsters with gear for new materials
rinse and repeat
there's some gathering, fishing, bug catching, etc. stuff in between, but for the most part you're gonna be killing stronger and stronger monsters
monsters definitely get stronger but you also get better gear as you go on
but that's the basic gameplay loop. IMO, the fun comes from facing a new monster you've never seen before, killing it, crafting gear out of that monster's parts... and then going back to kill it again while wearing its skin hehehepm me ur pics and ill rep u haha jk no homo lol haha no but srsly pls pm me ur pics haha just glutes and maybe face haha no homo again lol just kidding kinda not rly lol pls send them
