Love the gym, Alex. You need some purple on your walls, though. . . .
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

What are your thoughts on the Hoist leg press? It looks like a plate eater. There are a few youtube vids of it. I think that it is a further improved version of the old HQ Line dual action leg press machine.

I tought at first it was a plate eater but you have to consider that with the way the machine is working, you are lifting your bodyweight while doing the exercise. On the Hoist I push approx 500lbs for 8 and i am normally pretty strong with legs. I push around 650-700lbs on my bodycraft leg press... For what i have tried it, after 2-3 workouts, I really like it. I will do a better review once i am all set!

Trust me, if I ever get the time, a seated row (maybe w/ pulldown, but row for sure) is first on my list for me also. I've been wanting one ever since I sold my chest supported row (wasen't crazy about it , and it was very long) in 2012. For now I do seated rows with the cable column.

Gorgeous. I'm not usually a dumbbell fan but something in the way you have those racks and prostyles fitted in that room really showcases them.

After 4 weeks of hard work I am finally done with the garage gym addition.
Everything is set up and ready for some heavy workouts. I had to take a complete week off of work, and the rest was done on the week nights (i have stopped lifting for 10 days) and a 3 saturdays. I am happy with the end result and i can't wait to lift some weights...
Enough talking i guess you guys want some pictures!

This is the garage result:

I like the new look a lot. Worth the time/effort for sure. Did you get any new pieces in there or just expand the layout?
I continue to lust after that half rack and functional trainer. Probably the best half rack in existence.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Thanks for the update. Did you expand your smith machine addition, I don't remember 4 posts. I like the post at the wall to store your rack attachments. The mech ft still looks awesome.

Thanks, it took a lot of effort and thinking to come to this.
Yes i have added a few pieces, i have found a pretty good deal on mint condition hoist equipment, so i added:
- Roc it plate loaded standing calf
- Roc it plate loaded chest press
- Roc it plare loaded deadlift/hack squat machine
- Roc it plate loaded leg press
- Supported incline T bar row
I know Hoist get a lot of hate but their leg press, chest press and standing calf are awesome. I have not used the deadlift hack squat enough to have a clear opinion and the incline t bar is pretty simple so i guess it is good as it should be... I stille want another piece from them, the roc-it plate loaded chest supported row. Maybe my next piece in a few months...
The functional trainer is my gym's best piece and the rack is great too, but a rack is a rack but with the reverse hyper it is a great combo...[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #54 []---[]

At first added only 2 posts in front of the smith but i wanted an easier dumbbells spotters system which stays on the uprights all the time so i could not use the uprights for normal barbell work so i added another set...
yeah, that post on the wall for rack attachments is great, i have two of them but i use one for a permanent dipping station, anyway i have enough room on only one for everything[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #54 []---[]

Yes i got it, well a part of it, for some reason they sent the set but it was missing 2x25lbs amd 4x10lbs (they said they were backorder....) I have to say that i dont understand the recents bad reviews, the ones i have received are identical to the ones i got 3 years ago, i cant even see anything different. They are not perfect but the ones from 3 years ago were the same, the shape they have makes it harder to make perfection compared to machined ones... But i am happy with them...
