I am hard as a fukking rock right now. This utterly pathetic defensive performance, Rask's overratedness shining through, and the Pats' 5th Super Bowl all in the course of 24 hours. Fukking amazing boyos. Fukking amazing. Let us all bask in the moment right now.

None of that matters, your advanced stats can be placed within the innards of your ass. Stats are for losers, and hockey isn't a stat game. They have not a single good defenseman, 3 good forwards and an overrated overpaid goalie. They are horrendous trash and the only reason they're not at the bottom of the conference is because of a couple of weeks where Pastrnak was playing with cheat codes. They are in 8th by 1 point and every team around them has at least 5 games in hand lmao.
That game was so perfect I still haven't come down from it. Fire Sweeney.

"Teams good"
If me using obvious metaphors to illustrate my point voids my argument, then basic grammatical errors void yours. You have no idea what you're talking about. The MLB thread is over there, that's a sport where you can blindly rattle off statistics without watching the game and have it mean anything. Hockey isn't.

You literally used statistics in defending your opinion. Saying that they're one point ahead of other teams that have 5 games in hand is using points percentage rather than their actual points.
In any event, the last 5 cup winners have been top 3 in CF%. Ironically the last team to win the cup that was outside of that was Boston. It's very good at predicting success.Canucks/Chiefs/Jays/Raps

Points in the standings actually matter, your little corsi fenwick sh!t does not. You can have all the posession bullchit you want, doesn't matter if you have no secondary scoring, no defensemen, and an overrated goalie. Period. What good is possession when you can't score if your life depended on it, most of your shots are low percentage type shots, and teams can strike on you in the blink of an eye because your defensemen are so bad?
You know why the Bruins have such better possession stats than a lot of teams? Because it doesn't take other teams long to score against the Bruins, they take possession of the puck from the Bruins and it's in the back of the net in the blink of an eye.
Good teams are going to have good possession stats. But having good possession stats does not make you a good team. Tattoo that on the inside of your eyelids.

That't not how CF% works. But from what I see you don't care to be enlightened on it. I know you're just passionate about your teams future but I;m trying to tell you it's not all gloom and doom. They're going to be fine.
They do need some prospect depth though, that's for sure.Canucks/Chiefs/Jays/Raps

Prospect depth is like the only thing they MIGHT have, but you never know how that could play out.
It is doom and gloom, trust me. I've watched almost every single Bruin game for the past 10 years, I know the players inside and out. Nobody makes more idiotic mistakes than this front office. Sweeney is even worse than Chiarelli. You saying the Bruins are good is such a mark against the merit of your advanced statistics, you have no idea. They are a horrendous hockey team, it's not arguable.
What does "they're going to be fine" even mean? What constitutes as "fine" for you?

I saw your post. I think people who are pro-life are actually retarded. A fetus is not a viable human being. Many laws suggest that the 20 week mark is the age of viability, but that is with modern medicine assistance. The age of viability is when the child is born and requires nothing but nutrition to survive. If the fetus cannot survive outside the womb on just the mothers milk, then it isn't viable. The driving force behind the pro-life movement is relgion. That is unacceptable. The first ammenendment calls for a separation of church and state. Yet the driving force behind the pro-life movement is religion. Abortion does not kill a child. It terminates a group of cells. A fetus can not feel pain. In order to distinguish pain from any other stimulus you have to understand what pain is. The only reason people think fetuses feel pain is because they associate the act of abortion as being painful. Fetuses are nothing. They are a bunch of cells and that is that. A fetus does not know what is painful or pleasant. If anything they have very primitive reflexes. What seperares humans from any othe being is self awareness and our ability to learn and communicate. Fetuses have developed nothing. We have no issue slaughtering animals for the betterment of scociety we should have no issue destroying a group of cells for the betterment of society. The main reason, and I mean single reason, why people are anti abortion is because of religion. You can say whatever you want to make yourself feel better but it all boils down to a make-belief god not being okay with it. This word is over populated. We allow children to be born into families that are financially, mentally, and physically unfit to raise children. That is why we have millions of people who leach off the government. You conservatives want to get rid of federal handouts but at the same time wish to introduce MILLIONS of children who will be raised by families who are unfit to own a ****ing gold fish. I hope that every ****ing idiot who marched at the pro-life march is willing to sign up to adopt unwanted children.
If abortion were made illegal it would directly lead to increased crime and poverty.Last edited by BenadrylBandit; 02-05-2017 at 01:08 AM.

Fine to me means a competitive playoff team. I truly believe this Bruins team is going to make a run at the Eastern conference title in the playoffs. I could very well be totally wrong about it but the numbers surrounding them indicates that they are closer to being to the top than the bottom. But hockey is a difficult sport to predict. That's the whole point of coming up with models like expected goal for percentage and corsi for percentage. There are a ton of stats that are indicative of success but they may not work out in the end. It's all about correlation to wins.
I mean look at the opposite. Myself and pretty much everyone that observes hockey would say that the Canucks are an awful hockey team. They're 4 points out of a playoff spot and supposedly 'competing' for that last playoff spot. But everything else about them says they're going to regress and it's showing recently.Last edited by Mac_xX; 02-05-2017 at 03:41 AM.
