Finally demo'ed a 1290 Super Duke. What a hilarious machine. Definitely the one. Picking one up for sure. Way more comfortable than my 14R, same outrageous torque delivery, light, responsive. Loved it.

I cleaned the fk out of mine yesterday. I am trying to squeeze 12k out of my chain but I don't think it's going to happen so i'll probably replace it this coming weekend. Galfer pads are ready to go on up front as well.
I also put my suspension kit onto my XR50. You want to talk about hilarious machines... this thing wheelies on command now. Leland mentioned a few months ago that he had one, and that to not be fooled; it's still easy to hurt yourself on it despite its size. He was right. I skinned myself good coming around our house track and sliding out both tires. I've also looped it twice now. Both times I picked it up, bent the brake lever back and kept going. What a good investment.2015 KTM Super Duke R ABS || 2014 KTM 300XC-W || 2006 ZX6R || 2020 CRF125F || 2016 Rancher 420 || 2017 Z125

So the story with the 2013 r1 I have right now was I bought it with a lien on it. She told me she would pay it off the day after. Took her three months to get me the title. During that time she kept insisting it would be there that week for three months. Ended up letting a few people take a look at it while I was still waiting on the title that said they wanted it but had to turn down their offers. Have had a few 9's but not since I actually got the title. She dated it so I had to send it in and wait another week.
Well now I have another girl message me if it was still available and got the vin off of it for a loan. She came and looked at it and said she was going to go get a cashiers check. She texted me saying she could get $8200. So I told her "as a deposit". She said that was her offer so I said "no", I've had a few 8500 offers lately too. Then she asked whats the best I would do so I said $8800. She said ok and she would call insurance today. Now today she messaged me saying her insurance would be more than she was expecting and asked if I would do 8500. Had to tell her no again. Then she asked what I could do and told her I'm not taking anything less and $8800 is what I'll do. She said she will come up with it somehow and be here tomorrow. So now we shall see.

^^^lol.
Finally changed oil on R6 .been avoiding it for weeks just riding harley instead...
wow. worst design ever.
my zx6r had a filter at the front and an accessible drain plug at the bottom. no fairing removal, 10min job.
this thing has a non-accessible drain plug w/ fairings on....and a filter not only behind the fairings, but behind shift linkage? what a pain in the dick to not break all the little chitty clips that hold the fairings on. never again .id rather pay 120 to the dealer than to ever have to waste that much of my time again.RIP KD brahs

My butthole is supple like suede and talc powder. Tymen
Did you have a filter wrench? I changed the oil on an 08 once, and couldn't get the filter off by hand, so I stabbed it with a screwdriver... huge mistake. I ended up shredding the oil filter up so bad I cut the top off of it, hammered a socket onto the flanged part inside the filter that screws onto the bike, and wrenched it off that way. It was an almost two hour ordeal. Fuk those bikes.2015 KTM Super Duke R ABS || 2014 KTM 300XC-W || 2006 ZX6R || 2020 CRF125F || 2016 Rancher 420 || 2017 Z125

well the filter wrench i had was for a car(too big) and you can't use the K&N filter with the end that fits a socket because the shift linkage would hit it.
so i had to buy the mobil1 filter, and a new filter socket to fit it. there is NO room to get in there by hand.RIP KD brahs

$300 for 3 tires fitted and having forks serviced for the 690.
Possible future employer has also gone NC on me.
Nice new sig weDo*******s
Yamaha does this like this due to their impeccable reliability. See the bikes never break, so they have to make such that it takes you more time to do basic maintenance. This helps with job creation at the dealerships and if you are the type that does your own maintenance, helps you appreciate their superior engineering that leads to its increased reliability. It helps you bond with your bike by obtaining a few scars and exercising your large swearing vocabulary.
Also, get yourself (or make it) a filter wrench that uses a strap/chain and mounts to a 1/2" socket. Not that ****ty lever strap thingy majig.
Progress on the 125?
Pics of you pitbike track?

Freaking got the 1000rr back in shape. Rode it 3x. Was out hitting twisties on Saturday night around 2am. Something came up and hit the back of the bottom right fairing and took out the entire right side of my bike. Bottom plastic cracked in half and flew off. Part of it is still missing. The top right fairing broke too.
Thinking about doing these plastics on my bike..
