Hey boyos, long time lurker, first time poster.
Been cutting since October, always been relatively lean and athletic, but never had those washboard abs I want.
Been seeing good results, but at the point where 1 weekend of going out kills my weekly progress and I'm going in circles.
I have a very active social life and it just seems that there's always something new whether it's a bachelor party, visiting friends, city trips, etc.
What do you brahs do to compensate for a weekend trip or a big night out? Thx

I'm not sure "not going out" is something you want to do. A social life is fun and you should have one even if on a cut. But, you need to use self control during these social events. You don't have to go out and drink a bunch or over eat. Keep your cut in mind when you're out. Order salads or something low calorie. Don't drink as much. There has to be sacrifices somewhere. It sucks but that's the only way you can do it. Try and plan ahead by looking at menu options that fit your calories for the day. If you know you'll be eating a lot of calories, try to consume less leading up to the event. I have a birthday party this weekend that I'm already planning my meals around. I can go out and be social while still sticking to my daily goals. Win win.

I think it's annoying when people complain they can't hit their fitness goals but then make no sacrifices to meet those goals. No one is forcing you to drink so much. No one is forcing you to eat junk food while going out with friends. You know what you need to do to get the body you desire. Either do it or stop complaining that you can't have the social life you want and the body you desire.
Good luck, OP.New England Patriot

Why not find people that have similar goals bodywise as you? My best friend jumped on the train at the same time as me. Lifting weights, diet, etc so it's much easier for us to avoid social situations that would hinder our progress. It's tough if all of your friends want to go out and party but if you meet some new ones and enjoy maybe 1-2 outings a week and do other things during the week that might help.

"Don't go out" is honestly the worst advice in here. Having a healthy relationship with going out is the best way to go about this. Unless you're getting paid to do this it is NEVWR worth giving up your friends over. Be sensible, have 3 Jim Beam and Diets, that's like 250cals and enough to be buzzed, don't feel like you have to have 10 brers. That's not good for the wallet or the diet lol. But seriously. Just be smart about it
