Someone beat me to it, but I immediately thought of this as well.
Another incredibly unhealthy habit though.
Playing on the phone before bed. Sleep is so vital for recovery and the lights from your phone seriously impair melatonin production ultimately leading to poor sleep and recovery. Sleeping is one of the most basic things we can do to seriously improve our results from training and it is soooo overlooked.

I'm actually having my students write a formal essay on the negative effects that video games have on students. I'm getting some very sad responses. both poorly written and very weak arguments from some of them saying it's okay to play hours and hours of games.
Edit: I'm not even against a video game session here and there. But I'm talking about when kids play nothing but video games. The affects are clear.
