They basically didn't veer off the original at all, it's puzzling why they felt a movie only 15 years old needed a remake... well it's for cash of course. There's no reason to watch it unless you're a fan of the series, the first one was probably better if I had to pick. I want someone to do a proper Hellraiser remake.

All Hallow's Eve part 2 was decent. Doesn't make much sense, and not as good as the first one... but the shorts were cool. It's an anthology movie with a mix of sht and gems. I really liked some of the short stories.

Saw 'The Witch'.
I don't need a popcorn jump scare horror film, but nothing about this film made me uncomfortable or scared or horrified or.. Well, anything,
I appreciate how good the time period language was and how they made it seem like a disoriented family dealing with a unnatural force, but as for the viewer it was extremely boring.
5/10.
Sorry guys, just more hipsters reaching for a time period horror piece and make it seem 'scary', or 'horrifying'. Nope.
And I don't even like jump scares. Just this movie in general made me like 'mehhhhh'
Gonna watch Spring right now, hopefully it's better. Fukin hipsters always steering me in a direction of a great art horror film and it ends up making me want to sleep.

Has anyone besides me seen these................better question, has anyone besides me, actually enjoyed them?
I am not recommending these as great movies to be clear, I just have a thing for watching B-rated crap movies...... I actually enjoyed all of these.

Eh. Well done just wasn't creepy or anything. Atmospheric is a good word but as a horror film, it didn't do anything. And i hate popcorn scares but this was just ehh.
Like The Conjuring is what I set my standard for all new horror films.
I did like 'Spring' a lot. You guys should check that out. Pretty cool

I remember watching the second one, it was a great change of pace so I might check out the third. I am hearing a lot of mixed reviews for "The Witch", I still really want to see it. I don't mind slow crawling horrors if the visuals/sound are all really eerie and atmospheric, "The Babadook" is a perfect example. Then when something does happen, the fright factor can be really heightened.
