Wow, what a great thread, very inspiring. I really wish I had taken more pictures of my progress, I got rid of every single fat pic I ever had and didn't take many pics of my journey :-( Perhaps I should start doing it more. On the plus side at least I lost the weight and fell in love with strength training, it could be worse!
I'm loving how inspiring all of these are

Let me preface this by saying I train for strongman and powerlifting, not bodybuilding (this could change in the distant future though). I am a few months into a bulk, and was tested at 17.5% bodyfat a week ago but I look around 23%. I'm no pump no flex here (because this was the day after I worked out) but I just want to know why I look so soft, and if there is anything I can do about it besides stepping off creatine (which I suspect is the main culprit) which I don't want to do because I have a meet in december and just started on it. The bruises are from training, sorry about that lol.
Not sure if this is the right thread but help would be appreciated.

How were you tested? Creatine adds water to your muscles, if anything, it'd only make your muscles look bigger. 17.5% would be pretty lean, so I think the test method is the culprit here. DEXA is most accurate, and would read you higher than you'd look because it takes in all your bf, not just the stuff right under the skin. Bodypods are alright, not totally accurate. Calipers can be ok to way off depending on the person using them, and consistency. Bf scales, and those biometric (I think that's the word? those handheld things) can fluctuate just from drinking a cup of water, way off.
Numbers are numbers though, fact is you look great. You've got visible muscle, and I wish I looked that lean a few months into any bulk I've done. If you're planning to cut after anyway, then a little fat doesn't matter, losing fat is the easy part.
Side note: In the future, for fast replies, use the main forum. These ones tend to get less frequent views.
