Mech, was just checking out all of the metal pr0n and read about your medical problems. I'm glad that you're effectively recovered.
This also goes without saying, but you're a huge asset to this forum and community. I just love the stuff that you do and the amount of creativity that comes from you and your customers. Can't wait to see what that contraption is that you posted....USAPL RAW Competitor

Looks awesome mech! Quick question for you. My weight horns on my dark horse don't have end caps. I bought a new pair from rogue that does. I'd like to get caps for all the rest but I don't know what/where to get them. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Are the weight horns 1.9" OD? mcmaster.com. Get the caps for 1-3/4" OD tubing, and whatever ID your horns are (they have different ones). Seach for tubing end plugs or something. Technically they're not caps since they go IN the tubing. Those are the ones in the photos above, so if they look similar to the rogue ones, that should work. They're sold in packs so you might have extra.

Not like I need to explain how seriously good Mech's stuff is, but thought I would anyways. Ordered a pair of monolift hooks and they're amazing. The packaging was as good as the best or better than any manufacturer I've dealt with (and that's nearly every one) and likewise for the build quality. Tolerances were really tight and everything solid, hooks work perfectly. Couldn't recommend more. Hope to purchase some more stuff in the future.

Rack mounted platforms. Didn't want to just clone what was out there already, so these got caps, the usual UHMW around the upright, and they're gusseted like a battleship. It was also suggested I put UHMW between them, to protect if someone uses them for belt squats with a loading pin (in case plates hit the sides).
Same deal with a rack mounted bench/seat attachment. Took sorinex model, made the top treadplate, beefed up the end supports and added UHWM on all contact points. Top holes are to receive a removable pad.

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Ever consider making a loading pin?
Give it a flat base so it can sit upright, horizontal pin so it's easier to break down. Something like this:

Very nice work btw. Always tip top effort & thought put into these things.
If I ever need to upgrade the frame on my vehicle, I'll get you to build it. lolLast edited by Synthetickiller; 12-21-2015 at 07:42 AM.

Mech, is it me, or would the real cost of a lot of the military grade gear you make be several times the actual cost if not for your passion to produce some of the best engineered and crafted equipment available? Like I'm thinking if someone contacted a fabrication facility capable of producing similar quality and just asked for a quote?
