Oh man that'd piss me off to the 10th degree, I hate wasting all that time just getting the correct friggin' equip when it should be in the proper place 24/7. People who are switching those around prob don't even lift, brb stealing squat bar so I can bb curl 2" away from the heavy db rack where people are trying to rack/unrack 100lbers. You know I just took a look at my barbell in home gym, it has the knurling in the middle too, hmmm no wonder that thing cuts up my back if I don't wear a t-shirt. It's a cheapo bar CAPP, I'd really like to get a nice bb for main lifts if I can afford one later this year and then use the crappy CAPP to bang around on DL.
And I know this stuff is so common it shouldn't even bother me as much as it does but damn man sometimes it's just like jesus people, stop being inconsiderate a-holes. So annoying when you need like the 70lb dbs, they are not on rack, no one appears to be lifting them, and it's a damn scavenger hunt around the gym to find they have been left behind a power rack for god knows what reason.
Uploding vids, youtube appears to be slow today, gonna jump in shower and will put up Chest/Tri Day later tonight.Current PRs:

So-so bp day, wanted to do doubles at a heavier wt than 160 but that'll do for today, pretty tired from Fri/Sat heavy, intense workouts. Prob will take a Rest Day tomorrow and possibly a little nap if I have time.
Finally Amazon-ed the "Hand X Band" since I'm still having this nagging elbow thing. Like everything else on the human body when your internal rotation becomes very strong (fingers in as in gripping dbs and barbells) and you don't do external rotation (spreading fingers outward) your shiz gets all jacked up. So this device is like a big rubber band that you slide your fingertips into and you practice opening your hand outward. I'll start doing it when I'm sitting around on the computer/tv, hopefully I'll see some improvement once I balance things. I'll report back on the Hand X Band, it's $10 on Amazon so definitely worth a try.Current PRs:

Mirin' BP once again! I'm only 1/2lb away from dropping to the next weight class so I'm gonna have to carb up or something to go up against you in the BP contest (like I'm gonna put up 170...luuullllzzzzzz).
I'm about 80% positive that internal rotation is what's killing my shoulder right now. I've been doing a lot of reading about it. Definitely report back about mystery rubber band.If it is important to you, you will find a way.
If it's not, you will find an excuse.

goooooooood work in here..
now, I know I'm not a form nazi expert or anything by any means but I noticed that you either had the camera tilted slightly or you seem to use your right arm more than the left when you go lighter in weight.. The 2 reps at 160 were more or less straight and balanced but the 135 had lots of right arm action..
I could be wrong tho cus I'm not wearing glasses atm.
please don't hate me

^^^THIS is cracking me up.
Thanks Mei, if they find him decapitated in the smish machine I have nothin' to do with that!
Yo GG, thanks!
Thank goodness you made a point to slide the "imaginary" in there.
I will let you know how that goes. The whole thing is equal force though, think of how much pressure/strength is used when you pick up heavy dbs to row for instance, or DL, you need similarily equal force spreading the fingers outward, goal being to make sure the tendons in the elbow don't tighten/shorten and cause pain. Elbow is nothing terrible atm, don't even need the forearm strap, but I can see it'll become a bigger issue if I don't fix it now.
Thanks Bea
Go for it girl! Will do, and remember for shoulders all you have to do is simple external rotations and that will help greatly (stand holding a light plate or db, keep elbow at side, externally rotate but do not over-extend.)
23 probably
Thanks Gary, I'm glad the vids are useful to you, the 135 this time around was sloppy as fark though srs, was really tired.
LOL! Mind=blown you are the first to call me out on that sloppy 135 set, srs. Yeah when I get tired it really shows, first rep let rt shoulder drop too and it was bad from there. I do think I try harder at heavier wt too just because I'm more aware. Another good case for people recording themselves on everything at least once in a while. A lot of people have bad habits they'll never even know about until they start watching their own lifting from various angles.

Squatted heavy 4 days ago so it was cool to be able to put up this much weight, very happy with it. Trying to improve form so the reps are more fluid though, I think the depth is ok. Started foam rolling before workouts too, thank you again Drea for the info on that, I think the pre rolling will help long term.
EDIT: Have been stretching for 2.5-3 HOURS a week now for months. So I'm not sure if that's the main reason my squats have gotten so much better and are going up in wt quick. If that's not it then I suspect I have acquired magical cheese from the deli. It's cobly jack, and delicious.Current PRs:

Another impressive workout, Ham! You are the shiz, srs. Squat master/mistress.
Got to say too, I am super impressed with your dedication to stretching. I've ALWAYS (literally) neglected stretching. Whether that be in past basketball days or current lifting days... I've always been soooooo bad at it. I see you posting that stretches frequent in all workouts and makes me think I really ought to do the same, but meh... me is lazy stretcher.“It doesn’t matter what program you’re on, it doesn’t matter what drug, what supplement, what bench shirt, nothing, none of that matters. Extremely curious about your stretching routine, as I'm also aboard that train these days (takes an injury to get me there, but hey). Do you do that one where you stand on a calf board and then lean forward? And then rock back and forth? That one was new to me, but OMG it works. Calves and hips feel totally different. Do you foam roll?
Strong squatting, your progress is awesome."The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously."

Aww thanks jrobb! Stretching itself is boring BUT what I do is bring my phone so I can go online, play games, check email srs. I'm holding some of these stretches for a few min so you have time to stand there and browse websites. I'd be sitting here doing that anyways if I wasn't stretching, why not glaze two hams with one brush? I think of lifting as the exact opposite thing as stretching, so for all the working sets I figure I should counter act that with stretches so I don't snap my shiz up.
Thanks Gary, this squatting thing is getting easier.
I would like to know the name of this calf board thing, no idea what that is. Here's what I do if you're curious, I'll do my best to describe but I don't know names for these:
-quad stretch, lay face down on bench, let one leg rest on floor, use a strap/rope to loop around other foot and pull towards lower back, hold for 3min ea
-ham stretch, prop up one foot at a time on a high object (box step, or my dryer lol), bend and grab rt foot w rt hand and hold, 1:30ea x 2 sets
-doorway pec/shoulder stretch, stand in doorway, put arm out, palm against door frame, gently lean into it to get great pec stretch, 1:30ea x 2 sets
-calf stretch, prop toes against wall and heal on floor, 1:30ea x 2 sets
-frog squat, sit down in the bottom of the squat position, 2-3min straight
-hams, bend over and touch toes, 1-2min
-IT bands, cross feet and bend over and touch toes, 1-2min ea
Yeah I foam roll too. I do outside of legs (it bands), inside legs (no idea wtf that's called lol), face down to do quads straight on, sitting up to do hams, lower back/ass, upper back. Can't figure out calves, I'm too friggin heavy/awkward, can't hold myself up to make that one work. And I have no clue how somebody would do arms but I've read you don't really need to because they're much less dense than lower body so don't worry about it.Current PRs:

Average day, nothing special, 100 was heavy enough so no need for 105 today. Was really really REALLY hungry during workout, here's the story on that...
CLIFFS (yes long, dealwithit.jpg):
-went to work
-45min nap after
-like to get to lifting by 4 so pwo doesn't hinder sleeping at night
-got a lil time to kill so decide to clean tornado of a house
-get a lot done, kitchen spotless, all first floor good to go except have to vaccuum one more room
-have been looking forward to making delicious sammich when done cleaning, so so hungry
-doorbell of peace
-assume it's pkg from Louise I've been waiting for and maybe have to sign since international
-run outside in 50degrees, raining, in basketball shorts tee no bra lulz, still have naptime hair
-not mailman but cable company, let the rustling begin
-99.9% sure they were miscers
-see what they're offering since current cable goes in dry with outrageous bill, have been too lazy to call and threaten to cancel
-current cable box dies 2x a week too, much rage
-other deal cheaper, ok.jpg let's do this
-huge gigantic pain in the ass omg stop telling me your whole life story dude and get me an install date sweet baby jesus in a pumpkin patch
-freezing, wondering if leg hair is like bear, haven't shaven in two days lol
-go through tons of hoopla to get date set and shiz confirmed for tomorrow
-return to cleaning, farking almost 5pm bahhhh!
-did get pkg from Louise though including magical cadbury eggs and other yummy treats!
-starving, never got to eat delicious sammich, eat cadbury eggs with pwo oh lawd
So anyways I have the apt tomorrow to get everything hooked up. They claim it takes like an hr but I am dreading it cause what if it's like 3hrs, supposed to DL tomorrow and don't want to wait around. Also have to call old cable place and cancel, yes literally cancel, so I dunno if there's a secret password to do that so they know I'm not calling to threaten so they give me a deal, hopefully that doesn't take an hour itself. Also hoping whatever has to happen with the router hook up and additional tvs goes smooth and I really don't have to do anything. It now occurs to me I will have to herd 3 cats before this goes down tomorrow, was hoping we didn't need to go through that until Spring for hvac people. Does anyone know is this a smooth process? Never switched anything in the past because I didn't want to deal with a bunch of shenanigans. In b4 cable doesn't work, no internet, and they back over my mailbox.Last edited by thehobbes; 03-19-2014 at 05:06 PM.

Cause I can tell you there’s a common trait amongst the great lifters that I’ve ever met, is they all have an undying desire to be the best, or the best they can be.“ – Brandon Lilly
