Whey HD Vanilla Caramel Review

big thankyou to the fugitive and bpi sports for letting me try this out


first thoughts when opening was that it smelled like cotton candy for some reason, first tried it out with 8 oz of non fat milk, didnt shake it well enough was slightly clumpy gave it a few more shakes and it mixed pretty well



first thoughts on taste with milk- at first it tasted like a butter caramel popcorn, very different than what i had expected i thought it would mainly be vanilla with just a hint of caramel i was pleasantly surprised. mainly caramel flavor and a hint of vanilla a nice change to the usually chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon roll or cookies and cream. it is not overly sweet, tad savory very good meal shake not a dessert shake.



mixed with water- tasted best with 8 oz of water, the vanilla comes through a little more really good balance between the vanilla and caramel tastes great i usually do not care for just water in my protein shakes usually half non fat milk and half water but for this just water tastes great and is my prefered way of drinking it. mixed really well




protein sludge - for me i am often not in the mood for chocolate pb sludge and a good vanilla usually goes quite well with pb and a little bit of non fat milk, with the added caramel taste it didnt over power the pb just complimented it well. this is good for a mini meal when i am not in the mood for super sweet.





other recipes: when i made pancakes with the whey hd it tasted more like a caramel cake batter, really good pancakes with just egg whites and water, i do not make the most appealing pancakes so i left that picture out



i mixed one scoop of whey hd with some rice krispie cereal and a little bit of non fat milk for breakfast/ pre workout meal it went really well with the cereal and didnt over power it and make it too sweet, will definitely be trying this more





final thoughts: all in all i think this is a very versatile protein very taste pancakes, cereal, sludge and also kept me full for a decent amount of time, tasted great in water which to me not many proteins do. With milk changes to a very unusual flavor like kettle corn but its a nice surpise. i would highly recommend this and a go to protein not for a dessert protein or to hit a sweet tooth but a great overall protein.

Nice review. Hope I get the opportunity to try this out some day. Only heard great things about it and heard the taste and texture are on another level.
